after today's update, single files no longer grouped in "Various" folder?
after today's update(August 29, 2022), single files no longer grouped in "Various" folder?
I tried checking and unchecking the "Group single files in a 'various package" and also restated JD2 several times... that didn't resolve the issue. It was working fine before today's update. I made no changes in before or after the update. Thanks for your help! |

@potove: There have been no changes to the "Various" folder. What links are you adding? from what host? can you provide example links? Please know that the "Various" package/folder only works if no other rule changes package/directory, eg the subfolder rule and plugin setting package name, see https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...postcount=5089

I'm having the same issues as above after updating. Rather than it creating a various files for links it keeps creating separate file folder. For example for this site: NSFW below
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

@rogerjo69
In this case the crawler that pre-processes spankbang.com links is setting a packagename which has always been the case.

Linkgrabber package "Various Files" problem
The linkgrabber default is to group the links in the "Various Files" package.
However, for about two days, all links added by linkgrabber have been placed, one by one, in a folder with the same name as each video I pasted. That way, 5 links I paste will be separated into 5 packages with the same name as the videos, and no longer grouped in the "Various Files" package. This happens with both youtube videos and other files, images, music, etc. The result doesn't change if I paste link by link, or an entire list at once... everything that is pasted is now separated into a package per file. The LinkGrabber setting: "Group files into a 'Multifiles' package" is checked. To test if there was any error with this option, I unchecked it, restarted JD, redialed it again, restarted JD, but nothing changed. Did I mess with some configuration by mistake? Or was it some att that is not working properly? Last edited by KaminaJihat; 31.08.2022 at 23:37. Reason: Add infos. |

Before the update it was putting them in various files, is there a way to change it back so it doesn't create a separate package name?

It's happening even with youtube too. Please fix it. Also, it's taking forever to process youtube links.

Fun fact, the mgtowtv videos are going into the "Various" pack.
Example: Direct video link - **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (Font: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) |

To help us understand/trying to reproduce the issue, it would be nice if you can provide screenshots of what it looks like in linkgrabber and what you did expect to look like + example links. You can also send details to support@jdownloader.org
Also please include information about your packagazier rules, have you disabled any or using default ones?

Hi guys,
So was having the same isssue with single links like everyone else here. I decided on Jiaz suggestion that I check my "packagizer" rules...I did and the was a rule there labeled "Predefined Rule: Adopt folder structure" I disable this rule...now suddenly single links are once again going into "Various Files" properly. This rule must of be activated from an update because I rarely ever even touch the packagizer options, so I dont know how that rule got activated. One day single file links were going properly into "Various Files" then one day it just started adding every single link into their own package..without me making ANY settings changes. So I dont know how that rule got turned on. Fixed for me anyways! |

@MrGonzo: The rule is default enabled but most likely the plugin now does support this for the links you are trying to add/download and thus the various package will be skipped. What links(hoster) are you adding, then I can check if this plugin support has been added recently/with latest updates.

This issue began happening with ALL host links as far as I could see. After disabling the rule, JD2 just started adding single links properly back into the "Various files" default package again like before.
Update: Just did another JD2 update, since the update the issue of "single" links are going into their own single link package...so the recent update brought the problem back because the "rule" I disable is still disabled, but now the single links once again are not being put into "Various files" package like they should be. Update2: OK so some sites are still adding the single links into the various files package for single links. But this maybe site only related. The two main sites seen with this "single links" issue is youtube and spankbank.com Last edited by MrGonzo; 05.09.2022 at 09:25. |
