Was this done intentionally by the devs?? Or is it YT's doing? Is it going to be fixed?

I do not use Google account, so I relied on JD2 to download such videos. YT can get anything age-restricted.

Grateful for any info.

Google just complies with new requirements for age checks and you have to use your Google account in JDownloader.
I've also read that YT even might ask you to verify your age via passport.
Just add your google account, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...n-instructions

No there is not workaround available anymore.
Either create a google account or use other online webtools for this purpose.
They will internally use a Google account to circumvent this.

There is nothing to fix. Also in browser you have to be logged in in order to view age restricted videos. The *workarounds* from the past has all been closed by Yt

So our overlords have done it...I guess it had to happen. I hope this will inspire many to decentralize (LBRY;)).

A workaround is to Google: download youtube video online.
Recently to see **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** I had to resort to this solution.

Today I had to use this site to see a simple trailer, this is getting out of control.
YouTube has now more verification measures, than a porn site.
Thus, the beaches, pools, and public conversations also had to be censored.
Send me a Pm, title: YT age verification, if you need the url of the website that I use.
With this website, you can choose different mp4 resolution and also other formats (3gp and mp3).

Maybe some kind of reverse engineering!?

They also use an account. Just use your account as you already do in browser
