A couple of queries
Owing to a startup problem with JDownloader (which was fine the day before) I uninstalled and reinstalled it. But I've been unable to configure JDownloader not to sort each download via Linkgrabber to a separate folder, despite the fact that many users have asked the same question, and my efforts have not been successful.
Another query: Under Plugins, Pornhub, it says 'Always only grab the best resolution available?', but why isn't this feature universal to all plugins? I cannot see this feature in Youtube, and I end up with a string of files in Linkgrabber with different resolutions. It was fine on all sites before the reinstall. |

File > Analyze and Add Links, Check "Information overwrites packager rules". (Alternatively you can keep this checked and uncheck the 2 predefined rules with a folder icon; As these would put each package 1. into their own folder or 2. use the extracted site's folder path)
This would then put everything under your General > Default Download Directory or whatever you gave it when adding the link (make sure not to have "<jd:packagename>" in your path). There's also a "Various Package" folder, if you don't want that you can disable it in the settings > Advanced Settings > "LinkgrabberSettings: Various Package" Pornhub and BangBros are the one ones with these checkmarks, most of the time sites will attempt to only grab one video file at the best resolution however these will also grab the other resolutions allowing for configurability (some user requested these at some point). Youtube.com plugin has option to only download the best video, under the "Variant Collections" check your Best wanted video format (mp4, mkv, webm...). You can then configure the "Filename for Video files" and remove things like "*VIDEO_CODEC*". Last edited by TGU; 16.06.2024 at 18:46. |

My Packagizer list is like this:
My download directory/Subfolder by package is unticked, but I'm still getting separate folders for every download. My Variant Collections list for Youtube is: **External links are only visible to Support Staff**... But, in the past, I cannot remember having a problem with Youtube. I used to copy a video link, add it to the Linkgrabber, and it would come up with a single file having the highest resolution, not a list of different formats such as WMV, MP4, MKV etc. |

@waterspout: have you installed latest updates from today? can you please provide screenshot of you Settings->Plugins->youtube.com settings , where you define the package names and filenames?
Also check plugin settings, sounds like you've disabled the *best* and add multiple container. Can you provide example links as well?

Hi. Yes I do have the latest update installed.
Here are some screenshots, if I've correctly understood your request for the Youtube plugin settings. Maybe you guys are talking past each other?
You can't turn off that the plugin is putting all crawled YT video items in one package however, you can turn off that all items of a package get downloaded into a separate folder. See: https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...ackage-feature When this is turned off, all newly added items, regardless in which package they are should be downloaded in the root of your global download path.

@pspzockerscene: It's about the multiple file formats showing up in the package, see

Can you provide one/multiple screenshot of Settings->Advanced Settings->youtube so we can see your settings. There must be a reason why you get multiple video formats, looks like you've changed some settings/variants stuff
