Default jDL Freezes when crawling after last update

Yep, me again.

After updating to the latest, jDL will now freeze while gathering/crawling for links. Seems semi-random when this happens. Experienced this on both YouTube and Twatter links.
Method of link gathering doesn't seem to matter. Using the copy/paste or drag/drop will cause the program to freeze all the same.

Pretty straight-forward issue.

I'm unable to reproduce this problem.
Please provide the following information:
  • Example URLs for testing
  • A screenshot of: Help -> About JDownloader

Screenshot provided = 2
1. Help/About
2. Screenshot of jDL at the time of freeze

Notes:
The window is still semi-active after the freeze. I can move it around normally, and even resize the smaller crawler-dialogue box. But all else is locked out and won't work. Including the Close (X) button. I have to use Task Mgr to terminate.

Hm while your JVM isn't completely on the edge in your screenshot, it doesn't have much RAM.
How many links are currently in your downloadlist?

Please go through the following troubleshooting:

Currently I have 17,675. Funny thing is... this started happening AFTER I did a massive link purge to reduce that number. It was much larger before and worked smoothly.

Wait...now that I think of it, I did add a new event-script to help find dupes. Is there a way you can see in the logs if that's the culprit?
Let me shut it off and see what happens.

Sure you can inspect your own logs.
To quickly check if the script is related to your issues, I'd suggest to create a backup of your settings (or the whole JD install dir), then delete/deactivate that script and see how JD behaves then.
Which script are you using? Can you link it?

Current: This one is SOLVED

Background:
Ok, I did some testing and yea... seems that script was causing the issue.
Upon some "under the hood" inspections; I found that jDL was not actually frozen completely as initially thought. Watching the processing from behind the scenes showed quite a bit of memory activity from jDL during that time. Fairly large memory grabs and then memory dumps. Fluxuating constantly.

My conclusion was that jDL wasn't frozen but WAS locked while the script did it's dupe check. I suspect jDL would unlock after the dupe checks were completed. This would explain how I was still able to interact with some parts of jDL. The file it was referencing is about 5Mb in size in txt format. I think the script loads and unloads the script repeatedly for each link it checks rather than loading it once into memory. This might explain the constant memory activity.

The script I used and slightly modified was from here:

Thanks for your feedback.

You should post your findings in said thread so the creator(s) of the script have the chance to improve it.
