Please note that I dont have a RG account and using it free.. Meantime hats off to the JD2 Dev Team to sort this out for us and thanks to others here for letting us know how to tweak the settings under the JD2 hood to dial in the best operation of the great app. |

This linked post doesn't explain a time frame, can you give us an estimate on when it will be coming out so we have some idea of how long this is going to be?

@TheRenegadist: because there is no time frame or eta, but see my recent answer about this

It is working for me but at about half the speed 280.7 KiB/s of normal on my crap internet connection. Still waiting for fibre and not even FTTC due to crap phone line quality.
1080p webm with VP9/opus codecs, 25fps d/l'd successfully at the stated speed. I do have auto updates disabled and I have manually attempted updates but no updates have been found for many weeks, over a month I can only guess TBH. Were one of the YT updates broken in some way which is affecting people with auto updates enabled? That could be why some are having problems when mine is less badly affected. I'm using the Java version on windows 7 x64. |

@Jiaz

Although being German I would like to point out in English, that the jdownloader2 is a universal tool for nearly everything. I have no problem using yt-dlp for youtube and for the rest furtheron jdownloader.

Actual
YT's newest wtf is to throttle down (maybe only non-premiums) free-users JD: Max out the Maximum connections per download to get higher DL-rates Last time YT tested out Browser-Tab Restrictions per Cookies BTW: It is possible to Download Youtube Subtitles SRT with the jdownloader-portable-14742 ^^ everytime a new wall to climb :D Last edited by b00sta; 29.08.2022 at 16:43. |

Es wird auch nicht mehr *.webm sondern wieder *.mp4 heruntergeladen. VIELEN DANK! |

Downloads are fast again.
And also, YT downloads do no longer get put into default "various files" download groups, but in groups reflecting the video name. nice surprise. |

Hi guys. I came back to say that JDownloader is working properly again after the update released today, 'Mon Aug 29 2022'. I tested Youtube link for download and got full speed on my broadband connection. Thanks to the JD team!

like others have been saying, normal modern speeds are back. no more flashbacks of my childhood and using dialup in the 90's
but... since the update, all my videos are now added into a package of their own. it is not a serious issue by any means just a minor annoyance. none of my JD setting have changed and yes, packagizer is enabled but since my YT settings only add one variant and I don't grab any subs, text, images, etc, it should not be doing this. It should be doing what it always did which was put the videos in the "Various Files" package/folder or create one if one did not exist Last edited by Jiaz; 30.08.2022 at 10:14. |

Looks like the speeds are back and I haven't noticed any other issues including the loss of queue, thank you to the team for pushing this out and making JDownloader 2 the best!
Edit: I had the same issue fuknuckle had but in a few minutes I was able to fix it. Last edited by TheRenegadist; 30.08.2022 at 01:40. |

It would be great to get the following functionality for yt videos back:
Issue: LinkGrabber, Offline Files, Video xyz Premieres in 99 Minutes Solution: Conext Menu - Check online status current behaviour: nothing happens previous behaviour: recheck the video and update the status accordingly (online, or if premiere is still out, update remaining minutes) Thanks, Mav. |

It is default/wanted behaviour for JDownloader to do this. When you have subfolder rule enabled, this rule sets a custom subfolder to directory and in case that rule (default yes) has higher position/priority (rules are processed from top to bottom) then the "Various" package is not applied. Solution: you have to disable the subfolder rule. It's not possible to have subfolder rule AND various package at the same time because various package only has one download directory whereas subfolder rule changes the subfolder directory for each download/package.

you have to right click and use "Analyse and Add Links" option. It's not possible on normal *check online status* because as the file is offline at the time of adding, it has not yet been processed in meaning of parsing of wished format/variant/container... thus a dummy offline link is getting added that you can reprocess at later time again.

as they are all re-encodings of original source, I would recommend the format that you prefer. By that I mean do not use ogg if you later convert to m4a.

your suggestion currently doesn't work either: anyway: check out this video **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** offline - premieres in 2 days issue: "Analyse and Add Links" clears the link from the linkgrabber list (current jd version 46605 from yesterday) without any user confirmation |
