@perspicacia: they can easily differ between browser, tools. in browser you have valid/verified cookies and those allow you to continue while JDownloader doesn't have them and then their rate limit kicks in. So you will have to wait until it works again.

They use different streaming formats and MPD is just not yet supported. After some time (maybe views, time after upload...we don't know) it seems they also provide other resolutions as supported format.

I used to be able to add videos to a custom playlist to watch later & JD2 would download them all if I copied the playlist URL but this no longer works.

Has this feature been dropped?

@Spellbound: Thanks. Playlist is private and currently not possible to support because of unstable/broken account login. Once we've fixed the account login, JDownloader can make use of your account again and then should also be able to load/support the private playlist

Ja, richtig, Stunden später hat es angefangen zu funktionieren. Und jetzt geht mein Link tatsächlich einwandfrei.
Nächstes Mal mache ich wieder ein Log. Aber du kannst mir glauben, dass JD einfach nichts erkannt hat, keine Videos und keine Untertitel und nur die Text-Datei geladen hat.
Um die Zeit, als ich meinen Beitrag geschrieben habe, hat JD nichts geladen, youtube-dl konnte die Videos und Untertitel des Links aber erkennen und downloaden.
In den letzten Wochen ist es mehrmals vorgekommen.
Einmal war so, dass JD nur 360p Auflösung erkannt hat, sonst nichts. Nach 4-5 Tagen habe ich aufgegeben und mit dem anderen Tool das Video in einer 1080p-Auflösung runtergeladen.
Ich habe Jiaz so verstanden, dass es sich bei solchen Fällen um MPD handelt.

Since weeks, 480p YT variants doesn't download to max speed. The dls are made of from 1 to 2 MiB/s bursts and several seconds with no activity. The average speed keeps around 400-500 KiB/s. From mega I can keep stable 6 MiB/s dls, for example.

- I've tried two different data mobile and a fiber connection.
- I've tried connecting through two different VPNs.
- I haven't seen this in another variants or servers.

Has anybody else noticed this?

Wenn es wirklich an mpd lag, hätten wir eh nichts machen können.

MEGA and YT are two completely different services which you cannot compare!

Please read THIS - especially the part about downloading from video/streaming websites as this is exactly what youtube is doing for a few years already.

Then again youtube is made by Google and you'll never be able to understand their algorithms which basically means their streaming speed-limits could also be dynamic per user or other factors.

If you read my post you'll see I wasn't comparing mega and yt but using mega just as a mere example (that's what the "for example" part means). Actually, I get the same speed with any server able to provide it. If you read my post, I implicitly say that I get the same speed (6 MiB/s) from YT also, but with the remaining variants (non-480p). If you read my post, I say I used several connections and 2 VPN to dismiss some IP-related issue.

Lately I've been having a problem, only with music content from official music channels.
Even if the video is in hd, jdownloader only finds 360p.
I tried on 2 different computers, with completely different setups. (same problem)

Here's two examples of videos in 1080p, but jdownloader only gets 360p.

Hier lädt JD nur eine einzige Auflösung: 360p. Die anderen Auflösungen (480p, 720p, 1080p) erkennt JD gar nicht.

I haven't downloaded much this month and not at all from Jun 20. Also, I can watch any Youtube video, even now with no problem, I just can't download it with Jdownloader.

Here is a screenshot of a video playing on Youtube while Jdownloader is saying too many requests. I can play YT all day long everyday but I can download a single video thru Jdownloader.

Look at the URL, the YT video ID is the same.

pspzockerscene, do you mean that after the next update we can download age restricted videos from YT? And we can use the normal (not premium) Google login by YT-plugin settings?
