Default web interface - how to use it?

Can someone write a faq/or howto use the web interface, I don't understand how to use it, like what IP address do I put in the browser to view the jdownloader.

And does it work using ipod touch?

http(s)://localhost:port


http or https depends on the setting of the webinterface
and
port is 8765 by default i think (also check settings of webinterface)

Its a normal webpage, so it will work with every browser

but it doesn't work on ipod touch

then you entered wrong username and pw
(notice: after changing username/pw you have to restart jd)

No I tried it and still not working..

Also how do you access the jd from a public computer, since localhost would not work..

you have to use the ip from your computer and do port forwarding (google)

I`m new one.
Yes, it`s understandable that I need use ip:port, but it does not work. If I do that on host computer it work, but on remote computer from lan it does not work. I get "403 Forbidden". My host is Linux/Ubuntu x86. I tried RemoteControl and it work on remote computer, but it is not such useful as WebInterface. So it is not firewall or reasone like that.

I tried https... and wow... It work on remote computer. But still it bug.

Yes, read Jiaz' post in this thread.

The JD Webinterface can be enabled in Settings -> Plugins & Add-ons -> Extensions.

Note that I don't know that of µTorrent.
