[Twitter single posts] Remove dates from Directory name
Hey guys! So by default, the link grabber appends dates to the directory name like in this image https://imgur.com/40wD5J8 (the Twitter @ is greyed out intentionally)
I want to know if there's a way to remove this and only tell it to grab the username/@ ? The reason is because it'll keep making new folders for the same username but with different dates, and I don't want that. I just want it to grab the name so any new downloads go to that folder. Thanks again! |

This worked thanks!!
Actually on that note, is there a rule to tell it to ignore text files as well? for both twitter and instagram, or any site really? |

A "rule" is not neede for that.
There are multiple ways to do this: 1. Plugin settings Both instagram- and twitter plugins do provide those. See Settings -> Plugins Both of these plugins go extra settings to disable .txt files. 2. In the linkgrabber, you might as well simply uncheck "Document File" under "File Types" on the right side. You can enable/disable this on the fly. 3. If it is specifically about .txt files, you could create your own filter rules, see Settings -> Linkgrabber Filter

That worked thanks!
One more quick thing. Can we apply the rename rule to Pixiv and Deviantart links? Here's what they look like now https://imgur.com/a/EBOYSe9 Sorry I didn't realize they were the same issue, otherwise I would've included it in the first post 😅 |

How do you want to rename them?
Please keep in mind that while we do help users in this forum we want to encourage them to learn about JDownloaders features and use them on their own so it would be nice if you could at least try to create your own Packagizer rules according to your needs.

Sorry I should've specified, also I'm not so tech savy hence me seeking help. Essentially all I want is for the packagizer to grab the users name only and nothing else. Reusing the same rule for the twitter packagizer above in the thread didn't work so i'm not sure what to do.

Pixiv.net:
If you're talking about user profiles: By default, one package is created per artwork because each artwork can consist of multiple items. If you want to put all items in one package named <username>: I've already explained this in this thread. Deviantart.com: Our deviantart plugins have been broken for a long time afaik so I don't really know what you're talking about here. Please post example URLs.

For Pixiv.net:
So the packagizer rule for pixiv you provided didn't work at first, but then I noticed I was not looking at the profiles, but specific artworks. So I had to change the rule to account for: "www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/" instead of the one provided, and it worked! https://imgur.com/a/dILiWYJ For The Deviantart issue: The first name here is "Red by khaoskai" is the DA Link https://imgur.com/a/EBOYSe9 . I want it to just pull the username only which would be "khaoskai", but if you say it's broken and there's no fix then I understand. If there is a fix, it's much appreciated Last edited by H-Visage; 03.08.2022 at 19:15. |

Nice you're getting the hang of it! Please post a deviantart.com example link (= URL you've added and produces packagenames you dont want).

Here's the example link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
And what the packagizer looks like https://imgur.com/a/T6jC9eN So if it can ignore everything else and grab the Username/ uploader only, that'd be great |

No worries thanks for your feedback.
While it is already possible to define custom filenames and packagenames up until a certain point, there is certainly room for improvements. If you want to follow this topic, you can find a discussion thread about possible new features in that area here.

Sure.
Here it is: As text: Package name -> Contains -> [0-9]{4}-[0-9]{2}-[0-9]{2}(.+) -> Enable RegEx checkbox! Sourceurl -> Contains -> twitter.com ...then set Package Name <jd:orgpackagename:1>
