Default adding links via textfile

I have about 62,000 direct files, they come in .txt file (each row is a link).

Currently, I need to be in the LinkGrabber, then I add the links via copy/paste that takes me easily 10 mins, then I click 'continue' which actually adds the links, and another 5-10 mins (I disabled link checking). Then I click add all links to downloads, which is another 5-10 mins.

Would it be possible to just browse for the texfile, then have a seamless button that automatically adds them to the download queue instead of all those middle steps?

- you can add links via folder/directory watch extension in files called *.crawljob **
- you can add links via the my.jdownloader api via json commands, you will need your own program to communicate and send links. **

- you can add a crawler rule to support txt file or what ever extension you want and deep analyse see: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70907
https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=77614
- continue the way you are now.

you can auto confirm & start downloads via quick settings in linkgrabber side panel. click the screwdriver X spanner.
** == has its own ability to control specific links and actions (auto confirm / start download)

note: linkchecking disabled is a function of hoster plugins, if there is a decrypter plugin or crawler task for that url it will still do pre-processing prior to hitting linkgrabber.

lots of urls requires resources keep that in mind (referenced in url above).

hope that helps.

Copy/Paste or Drag/Drop the txt file into JDownloader should also work just fine.

Sounds like your JDownloader runs out of memory! That small number of links should only take few seconds to add to downloadlist. Make sure to provide/allow enough memory to Java! Search forum for vmoptions

Sorry it's been a hot minute.

I'm looking at the "Folder Watch" section in jdownloader and have no idea how to use it..

I also clicked those two links you posted and have no idea how to get that working for a textfile.

@baracus: can you provide example file to support@jdownloader.org
most likely the links are not supported and do require a linkcrawler rule, see
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...kcrawler-rules
as an alternative you can also place your links into a crawljob file (use board search)

Hi, just letting this information here so it could be useful to someone:
- Go to settings -> Advanced -> LinkCollector: Do Link Check -> Click to disable
- Go to Linkgrabber, paste your links (should be instant) and start
- Restore Do Link Check option if you wish

For adding a lot of items instantly this may be okay but please keep in mind that due to the missing check this may result in surprises when trying to download as the online-status is now known before.

For normal usage you should definitely not touch this setting (= leave it enabled [=default]).
