Default Manually set user-agent for mediafire.com

Mediafire added recaptcha for JD. But with IE, I can download files with no re-captcha.

I can only assume they are looking at the user-agent or some other header.

Any way to set these manually???

It is strange.

But I just tried 25 files and each time through JD I get recaptcha.

I try the same URLs in IE9 and no recaptcha.

But I think this thread should be moved back. It isn't a hoster-specific issue/suggestion.

It would be nice to be able to supply your own user-agent / request headers in the settings. Do you agree???

I've changed things a little see if it resolves any of the recaptcha for every download issues. If you want to try this out now, Go grab JD2.

Why jd2? It currently has instant update system after we commit changes until they are available to the general public . You can find the updater / installer from http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=37365

@raxtar
Sorry found that really hard to understand. For your and other peoples benefit the agent is static for the jdownloader instance. If you download many files in succession it will still be trackable in some sense. Restarting JD will issue another random agent assuming that plugin allocates agents via random selection.

I just wanted to say mediafire downloads work well and that captchas are random .. Also in some cases unable to enter the captchas and this did not prevent the discharge. Observing this, several files were downloaded during the night, without entering captchas, the next morning all had been fully downloaded files
