Default Better Windows 7 support

I hope to see better Windows 7 support for the future... like for example Aero, allow to use the new feature to dock windows, use of the new incredible task bar to show information (progress bar, colors and icons to show statuses, jump list for options, etc)...

I don't know if all these is possible because is a Java program that runs over JRE in all the OS but I hope they are... cause will be a really good improvement for the future because of the huge amount of people now using/installing Windows 7!

Cool

I'm sure that when these features are interesting, they will appear in Linux distributions as well. If enough platforms support them, Java will follow automatically.

we can only use those features if they are java 1.5 compatible, because we cannot upgrade to java 1.6 because of mac users. apple decided not to give old mac users java 1.6......bad decision

That is always a problem with support of old versions. How long do you support a version? Some of the original Macintosh computers are still in use. In this case, does Apple support the old version? Apple is having trouble dropping support for the computers it gave to schools.

PSP,
Kaput was been adopted into English decades ago. You notice the last "t" is missing. The meaning is the same.

Please look at http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=14245

It provides a patch and the link to the best version of Java.
