I think I found the problem here, it only happens when the file is large like 4gb+ although the file can be downloaded by free account via megasync but jdownloader2 won't even download 1byte.

JDownloader currently requests the full file vs browser only requesting the remaining quota. when remaining quota isn't enough to download the file in one go, then it currently doesn't work with JDownloader. We have to change the download method to enable download of a file in multiple rounds.

I already know how to change it, I just need time to make the change work/compatible with old/current download core

Is this related to this thread? I just opened a free account and tried to download a 6.9GB file and got the error.

The account verifies in the setup section.

@MrVideo: Known limitation. The file is larger than available traffic quota for the account and mega responds with HTTP/1.1 509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
JDownloader requests the complete file but browser request only available traffic and then waits and requests the rest. Could you send me the account logins to support@jdownloader.org ?

Any particular reason you need my account? Couldn't you just open your own free account there and test using it?

No reason, just easier than to signup an account by myself. But don't worry, already got one

NOTES: It says you need an account to download, however the file can be downloaded with Chrome perfectly and you don't need an account.
Even if you reset the connection, sometimes it says you have exceeded the bandwidth. This is not true.

Please, fix it.

Default Bandwidth Limited Exceeded (Mega)

Default [MEGA.nz] Skipped-Account Missing

31.07.20 06.51.56 <--> 31.07.20 06.55.00 jdlog://8626125302851/

Here is the dumb part of this whole thing. There are two files to download. Both are about 43GB. The 2nd file actually downloaded, yet the first file refuses to download. And yes, I have a free account with MEGA and JD2 says that the account is OK.

Is this still part of the connection issue with MEGA?

This will not solve all of the mentioned issues.

If it does/would, a simply reconnect would help too

Please read the past threads - there are issued with files >5GiB.
Wait for the bugfix or use alternative software to download such files as a workaround.

its been nearly a moth since the last update, can I ask if there has been any work on this issue?

I don't mean to sound rude at all so i'm sorry if I come off that way but if you guys know of a fix mentioned by Jiaz linked in this thread, what is taking so long implementing it?

Also had the same issue, but in my case I logged into a free 50 GB (later 15) account (credentials saved in JDW settings), and tried to download a 49.5 GB file. When there were 4 GB left, it said that despite I turning my ISP modem off and on again, which probably renewed my IP (my ISP uses dynamic). Can someone tell if this is some sort of bandwidth exceeded in the account that hosts this file, and if so when it will go away?

P.S. Oddly, when I started to download with MegaSYNC, the JDW link restarted, but it's now too slow, at 300 KB/s. My speed is 300 Mbps (150 up).

Edit: now it's saying bandwidth exceeded in JDW, return 5 hours and 51 mins from now. Well, at least the old message is not appearing again. I tried deactivating the download and starting again, to see if the speed would go up. 4.27 GB left.

I also changed max simult. downloads to 20 in JDW.

OK guys, this is what I discovered (sorry for double post, but I had to update this here, it may be useful what I am going to say, for further analysis from JDW developers): the bug is still there, but when I use the app Megasync to download this huge file, the message in JDW changes to "bandwidth exceeded, try 5 hours from now".

Listen (note: all my accounts are free, I don't have anything premium):

1) JDW already had a random mega.nz account configured there, saved in JDW's internal settings. Let's call this MEGA.NZ account #1, and account #0 the one that owns the 49 GB file;

2) When I tried for the first time to download 2 huge files, it worked, but the 49 GB file one still had to download 4 GB (all that was left and I couldn't download, since this "Skipped - Account is missing" appeared);

3) Then I opened Megasync, a Megaupload app, and tried to download the same 49 GB file. Of course if we do that, then for free accounts this app only downloads 1.8 GB, then makes us wait 5 hours. If we use JDW then it's able to download much more data from Mega.nz servers. And even bypass this limit. Don't ask me HOW it's capable of doing that...

4) Yesterday when I tried to do this while at the same time used JDW, the download resumed. But it was painfully slow. When I stopped in JDW and tried again, it sent me a message to wait 5 hours.

This 5 hour message is misleading. If we wait 5 hours and try again, the error "Skipped - Account is missing" will always appear.

So apparently this download will never be restarted in JDW, regardless if I:

- Change my IP (which is dynamic anyway) to fool Mega.nz servers and bypass any eventual limitation;
- If I also change my free Mega.nz account inside JDW settings;

So this means I will always have 4 GB of data left to be downloaded in JDW. Meaning I will have to use Megasync and wait a lot of time to download 49 GB, having to wait 5 hours between each 1.8 GB of data downloaded.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

My theories at first, which may explain why JDW says "Skipped - Account is missing":

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

- Each free account may have a bandwidth limit inside them, just like Google Drive, so this means we would have to wait until the account #1 (the one I said that is trying to download the 49 GB file) to clear this, or account #0, which owns the 49 GB file (the one I used to send the content there to Mega.nz servers) to do the same.

This means if the bandwidth limit from account #0 was monthly, then I would have to wait December 1st, 2020 to try downloading the rest (4 GB left);

- Or I would only have to switch to another Mega.nz account to download the 49 GB file. This can be done if we change settings from JDW account manager.

I have multiple Mega.nz free accounts, credentials saved here in my private TXT file.

That's why I am able to check all this.

***************

What JDW developers need to explain is how I am able to download so huge files despite using free accounts. If we are able to do this at the onset, then why after an interruption this is not possible anymore?

Based on everything I said I must conclude there is no "resume" for free accounts trying to download huge files that exceed the quota. Meaning if we try to download a huge file, we better finish the download.

********
Update: I tried to remove the file, then download again using JDW, and configuring another free account in JDW settings. I also restarted my modem, to see if my IP would change.

This time the download didn't even start: Skipped - Account is missing appeared at the onset.

So this is it... sadly I am going to have to rely on MegaSync from now on. And the proof my IP changed is that the download resumed a few minutes ago, and an additional 1.8 GB was downloaded from the 49 GB file. I am saying this because sometimes we restart the modem and the IP stays the same. No, it did change, but that was not enough to make JDW download the thing again.

******
Oh, one last thing: before someone says "it was never possible, with this bug, to download these huge files"!!!!!

That's not true! This week I was able to download a 12.7 GB file! With JDW's help. And I was downloading the 49 GB one (part 1 of 2, while the 12.7 GB was part 2 of 2).

What I believe it has happened was some sort of download quota, inside the account that hosts the 49 GB file. If this was the case, then it's lasting for days by now.

Oddly Mega says the quota is 1 GB every 6 hours.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

It's either that or the bug makes the "Skipped - Account is missing" reappear from time to time. Randomly.

Hi Perene,

thanks for your detailed feedback.
Unfortunately I haven't worked much on our MEGA plugin and I'm not using MEGA myself so I'm really not familiar with that topic.
Jiaz might be able to leave some words here and/or gain new knowledge from our post.

OK, this bug has now appeared in every single attempt to download any file from Mega. I tried today a 2.X GB file and wasn't able to use JDW for download.

It appears to me that because of this bug JDW isn't even trying to download anything from MEGA servers anymore. Because, you know, even if the file IS HUGE, JDW usually waits 5 hours to resume downloads from there.

Now even this isn't working.

Besides, all that talk about bandwidth quota from inside the uploader's account or any amazing theory to explain all of this... it was all BS.

It was beginner's luck that I was able to download months or weeks ago huge files.

I tried everything you can think of:

- Different free MEGA accounts configured inside JDW settings;
- Renewing my IP;
- Trying different links, also uploaded by other accounts;

Nothing, and I really mean NOTHING we can think of make this work anymore.

What is veeeeeeeery odd is that I was able to download anything I wanted from MEGA before, including very huge files, and further, I was able to do this with the max sim. files set to 20 from JDW.

I remember very clearly that JDW was able to download a lot of data all at once, and once it ended one link, it started another, no more than 20 at the same time, of course.

Apparently MEGA servers have "fixed" all these possibilities, so we can only see the dreadful "Skipped - Account is missing" warning from now on.

Remember I said I was downloading a 49 GB file?

Yep... I had to use MEGASYNC after facing this issue, and it took me 1-2 weeks to finish the download.

I hope someday this bug can be fixed for good, things were great while they lasted...
