When I add links using linkgrabber, some YT links work fine, and some are not added at all under the linkgrabber tab. I can't seem to tell why certain links work and others do not

Hello from England! The YouTube plug-in stopped working for some YouTube videos - under LinkGrabber a new item appears with only .jpg and .txt items - no video nor audio. All File Types are checked in the Views panel on the right hand side. For other YT content the audio and video do appear. Why would it not appear for some?

I'm testing build dates "Sat Apr 04 17:02:08 CEST 2020" on Windows 10, and "Thu Feb 27 02:55:12 CET 2020" on Linux.

I tried to search the forum for "youtube" and it told me

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : youtube"

I have the same issue, 99% of links I try will only grab the description and image files but not the actual video itself.

It's 2 days that video downloading from youtube don't work anymore.

If you copy a link you obtain only a txt and a jpg, no audio no video.
If you copy a channel video link and process the playlist, you obtain some few videos (less than 10%) and more jpg and txt.

It happened in the past and solved with jdownloader update in few days I hope they could solve the issue again

Here is an example of a video which can't be downloaded:

If you copy the link to JDownloader you'll end up with a jpg, a description txt and a subtitle srt. The video file itself and the audio won't show up. I experienced this with ALL FoxNews videos. I didn't experience it e.g. with WhiteHouse videos.

hmm. i tried that and i could not download that video either, does not show.

It's not about newer videos. I'm having the issue with a video from 2018...

it does behave a little weird. A video that I was not able to download last week worked one time yesterday and then not anymore after that.
I wanted to redownload it because I chose the wrong AV1 format.

Same problems here!

It started when Youtube announced to decrease the bitrate to reduce the internet traffic (because of the corona crisis)! So i think it wasn't only the bitrate which was changed, maybe something directly regarding the codecs was also changed and now JD 2 doesn't recognise the new video formats from Youtube!

For some Youtube links (but not for all) there are no downloadable video and audio files but only txt and jpg files.

Hi all.I starting having problems with Linkgrabber not recognizing Youtube video links.Its hit or miss on the same YouTube channel..
I did try to update JD to see if the linkgrabber problem was solved in the update but it knocked out my FFMPEG software.I had to revert my computer with Win System restore to get that working again..So whats in the last update to screw up my FFMPEG program..also I did not get a chance to see if the linkgrabber issues were solved..

I had the same problem prior to the update: the link grabber would grab the comment and thumbnail files but omit the video file most of the time. After the update, it doesn't grab any link at all. stehe vor dem gleichen problem jedes mal wenn ich versuche einen link von YT hinzuzufügen steht so was ewig langes da als offline link...
update, reinstall, neustart, browser wechsel und routerrestart haben nichts gebracht bis jezt..

This URL works perfect but I can't see a link for the script itself because I am not a staff member. Can someone help me?

It would really mean to me because JDownloader won't let me sign into YouTube account most likely due to some patch YouTube made.

Hey ich hab ein evtl. ähnliches Problem... kann keinen Premium Account für YouTube hinzufügen das Prog. sagt mir immer "Account kann nicht hinzugefügt werden Grund: Premium Account" kannst du mir da vielleicht helfen? Hab das Abo extra abgeschlossen um schneller laden zu können weils hier um Mengen jenseits der Gb geht danke schon mal

EDIT: Ok jetzt geht gar nix mehr auch ohne premium account...
