Default Suggestion: add links in disabled state

I'm switching from Mipony to JDownloader and I'm having difficulty emulating this simple use-case:

1) Downloads are always running
2) Links can be added in a 'stopped' state

In other words, I want the option of manual control over the start of newly added links.

The JDownloader equivalent of "stopped" is probably "disabled". However, there doesn't seem to be any way to add a link in the disabled state. I have to add it to the list, then find the file and disable it.

The Packagizer doesn't help me with this either (setting the 'Enable Download' state). All of the conditions are based on the file itself which is of no use.

Please add the ability to add new links in a disabled state.

Why not simply add a packagizer rule that sets the *enabled state* the way you want it?
For the condition simply use the first one "Always"

That gives me the opposite problem. Instead of this

Your suggestion gives me this:

Quote:
I have to add it to the list, then find the file and enable it.
In both cases, the interface forces me to manually revert the default setting. That's silly. Please remove "[Solved]".

You want all links to be added *disabled*, then setup a packagizer rule to disable them
You can also customize the rule to only work on remotely added links.

Thank you for starting a bug.

This is not correct. I want the option to add them as disabled, not have them all be disabled.

Sorry, my JD nomenclature was not specific. The option should be in the "Download" menu, not the "Add New Links" menu. For example:

Download All/Selected
-> Add to download list
-> Add to download list and disable
-> Start Downloads
-> Force Start

we only have two states, enabled/disabled as a prevention to download

package customiser rules can automatically set a disabled state, and add auto add to download list, then you don't have todo a thing?

online status is done as a linkchecking task. This can be disabled within settings > advanced setting > LinkCollector.dolinkcheck = false, for all links added.

Oh, you want this option in Add to download List...hmm..I can add an option so you can customize your rightclick menu and add one with enabled and one with disabled, would that be okay?

This was addressed earlier. I do not want all links to added disabled. I add equal amounts of "started" and "stopped" links depending on situations that cannot be automated by the packagizer.

I don't understand the relevance.

Sorry I wrote that before post 6, this forum doesn't inject new posts via ajax. So kinda out of sync with posts 6 onwards.

Thanks!

You can delete the "GUI: add *enabled/disabled* checkbox to AddLinksDialog" bug.
