Post Older Version 2.0 BETA

Is there a server with older versions of the core files (2.0 BETA)?

Doubt I'll upgrade the core program again while in BETA.

@notnot

no, there is no way todo that. You request updates, update server gives you the latest components.

Lost the ability to use mouse wheel scrolling of max chunks per download, which will be reinstated with a core update, but don't know when that will happen.

Since I mostly copy the links manually, I don't need most of the features, so it'd be preferable to know how to fix future issues by having a way to revert back to a version that worked as expected (even if temporarily).

Found an old download of JDownloader and can see Core.jar, JDownloader.jar, and JDoanloader.exe files, will it be possible to replace some of the files to get an older version while keeping the hosts files intact?

Also, how do I update the Hosts without updating the core files? Not sure the program tells you when it's a core update vs a hosts update.

Plugin Updates in JD2 = You won't eve notice them - they happen in the background!
Core updates = Update buttin is flashing - update has to be installed and you need to restart JD2.
Also, core update has been done some hours ago - scroll works fine!

scroll issue has already been fixed. Either you apply core updates, specially for issue which has been resolved or you don't. We don't offer ways of roll back or provide support for users who use outdated components. As you can understand could create a nightmare situation for us.

to your last question, never restart JDownloader, core updates never install.

But this thread / concept is a silly approach to 'fixing' issue. Updates fix issues (at times break issues, but very rarely) not just provide new features.

Is not behaving like before, now you have to click the field to be able to use the scroll wheel. I was able to use the scroll wheel without having to click on the field first.

I checked mouse options even though I never change things except for the pointer (small/large). AFAIK, don't remember doing a similar thing in other applications so it was a JDownloader thing.

Only thing I can think of is the version of Java used (8 vs 7).

it was changed because it actually was a bug. You shouldn't be able to scroll over a field and change it's value without selecting it first, (either clicking or typing) mouse scroll is the same. What would happen is if you moved the mouse while scrolling it would change other fields values. It would also try and change values higher and lower than we allowed. Both issues where fixed, accordance to our desired design specification.

This is a simple and easy way to restore the old functionality/bug behavior, or the ability to change the value of the fields with the scroll wheel without having to click the field first:

AutoHotkey Script

#IfWinActive ahk_class SunAwtFrame
WheelDown::
Send {Click}
Send {WheelDown}
Return
WheelUp::
Send {Click}
Send {WheelUp}
Return
#IfWinActive
