Default SOLVED (MAYBE) - Youtube plugin - "video not available"

SOLVED MAYBE
It seems to have been an ISP problem (I think).
Eventually the cable went out for a while.
When the internet came back, links are now adding fine.

However when I go to download, random ones pop up as not found when JD2 attempts to download them.

I think the ISP is still a bit buggy.

====================================

I recently have been running into a problem that is driving me a bit crazy.

When I select a YouTube link to add to JD2, some come up as "video not available". I can SEE the video fine, and not all seem to do this. Until recently this has not been a problem. The problem is maddening since it seems to follow no order. Please help.

I have a standard account, the appropriate age, the account is valid in JD2 and says "Account is ok: Account is OK" and the cookies are current. There are no AV problems.

Sample links are HERE:

An image of my JD2 is HERE:

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. Could you please provide a new log and try to reproduce this issue in fresh JDownloader(restart) session to keep log small

Hello,

is there any known issue downloading all-channel-videos with account enabled?

My experience:
Without account I can download all-channel-videos (except the ones that require account, like age restricted) but as soon as I enable account it returns "Plugin Defect". With Account enabled it does download playlists and age restricted videos, but not all-channel-videos (plugin defect). Disabling account makes download all-channel-videos work without any issues again.

Notes:
Using latest JD2 with default plugins and basically default settings except some naming and video quality tweaks.
Youtube account doesn't own premium but is 10+ years old and confirmed with card.
Happened/tested on 3 different youtube channels: matt rife, david dobrik, david dobrik too.

Tried:
- restarting JD multiple times at different points of enabling account
- mail, username, ID for username
- FlagCookies and Cookie-Editor on
- "not used" Edge and "main browser" Chrome in incognito mode, both with "don't ask again on this device"

Everytime it says account OK, even after failed all-channel-videos download and JD restarts, but goes "expired" after an hour or so.

Cheers

EDIT: removed emoji

UPDATE and workaround: Cookies expire earlier than stated before. I extracted video links via console and JD downloaded all 500+ videos except 2, one was temporary unavailable, and the second was, age restricted. Decently simple workaround if you only have small number of channels to download.

Steps:
I imported cookies, add links and started downloading them, and after some time (maybe 15 minutes) cookie expired and that one age restricted video was left behind while other age restricted videos were indeed downloaded.

The console codes:
to scroll to end on videos tab:
"var scroll = setInterval(function(){ window.scrollBy(0, 1000)}, 1000);"
to extract links:
"window.clearInterval(scroll); console.clear(); urls = $$('a'); urls.forEach(function(v,i,a){if (v.id=="video-title-link"){console.log('\t'+v.title+'\t'+v.href+'\t')}});"

@zmo: It's important to not continue to use the session in browser! as this will cause cookie/session updates and invalidation of the cookies in JDownloader. see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...n-instructions
Please provide a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...d-session-logs . Please enable debug mode, restart JDownloader, reproduce the "plugin defect" error and then create log and post logID here or send to support@jdownloader.org
Also please provide example links or @ids of the channels

Hello @Jiaz

Clarification:
I am not using the same session in JD and my main browser, I tried to be clear but prolly confused you a bit. Edge is not my daily driver, so I used it to login and copy cookie, after I got confirmed login in JD I just closed the Edge. Same tried with my main browser but in incognito mode. Both with "don't ask again on this device".

logID:
jdlog://8182411370661/

Steps in the log:
1 opened youtube site in Edge (which I don't use otherwise)
2 copied cookie (because my cookies in JD expires after like 15 minutes or so)
3 got "account is OK" in JD
4 restarted JD for cleaner log

5 Opened JD and Chrome to get link of a channel - **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
5b clicked "channel" on pop up
6 got "plugin defect" and created log

Thank you for your time and help

@zmo: Thanks for the report. issue is caused because a field that is processed is localized and thus failing when looking for english word but finding "Videoposnetki" will be fixed with next update.

Thank you for info.

Yeah, "Videoposnetki" is Slovenian word for "Videos".

All-channel-videos download works again with account enabled. Just tested before and after update.

Also my cookies "expired" bcs I was hitting rate limits, lowering down max simultaneous downloads fixed the issue.

Stay awesome

Since the latest update, all youtube vids are slightly corrupted after download.

1. View **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
2. Download with JDownloader2 (no yt account necessary, but same problem with an account)
3. Open the video in VLC player

Expected: The video plays like a normal video.

Actual: The video flickers ~5 times before starting.

I've downloaded the same video with another downloader tool and it does not have this issue. Every vid I download with JDownloader2 has this issue.

@academyoffetishes: there has been no updates/changes at all to yt or anything download related. also you didd not state which format you did download (format, container, resolution...) and it's important to check if the *another downloader tool* did download the same variant with same format/container/resolution.
Pay attention to codec as this video is also available in AV1! AV1 requires lot's of CPU when not GPU support is available. Video flickering sounds more like VLC->CODEC-> Hardware/driver issue. VP9 and AV1 working fine here on VLC 3.0.18, I could not reproduce any issues

I'm having the same issue as Wheezer from the previous page, i.e. seemingly random videos will refuse to download due to "File not found" errors. Since they haven't replied with their own updated log, I will present mine in the hopes that it helps solve the issue.

Sample links are HERE:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

The log file is HERE:

Default Client not grabbing links and lagging

A few months ago, my JDownloader kept running into errors when downloading from YouTube. At first it I could fix the problem just by restarting the downloads it but eventually it became less effective (it would quickly run into errors again or require several attempts and client restarts), and the client itself became extremely laggy to the point of freezing up. At this time I was still able to download from other sites.

I gave it another again today but now I can't even grab links from YouTube. I tried another video site and it just started to freeze up.

Appreciate any insight into what the issue might be, thanks.

Sounds like your setup runs out of memory, see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...vmoptions-file
Do you have many links in list? can you please provide a screenshot of the about dialog?

@MarqFJA87: I can see the issue in log but still unknown what is causing it or how to reproduce it in order to fix it
Remove/re-add of the link does fix it?

No, it doesn't. The weird thing is that when I first add the video to JDownloader's LinkGrabber list, it has a green checkmark, but if I try to simply change the video quality before I add it to the download list, it bugs out and claims "File Not Found".

Oh, and for the record, I can download the description and subtitles just fine.

if you get file not found is because you using to much connections
i personally use 5 downloads and 5 segments is perfect
i queue hundreds of videos before sleeping i wake up with all downloaded just fine, dont over do those

i mostly watch roguelikes lets plays because sometimes i leave the videos in the background pr watch them on my phone offline ; the streamer entertain in a certain way not too serious and get some funny moments

Hi

Having issues with Utube plugin settings...

I want the linkgrabber to grab 720p, 1080p, & 1440p. No matter what settings I enable in the settings it will only grab 1080p. If I disable "grab BEST mp4" or any of them, the linkgrabber grabs nothing. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Default Download von YouTube bei Altersbeschränkung

Ich möchte das Video mit dem Link
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
herunterladen. Error - Hu 4PgSXbDY [Alien 40th Anniversary Short Film Containment ] Sign in to confirm your age". Wie bringe ich JDownloader bei, dass ich berechtigt bin?

@Renate Eis: Hast du deinen YT Account via Cookies Methode hinzugefügt? Falls nein, dann bitte machen, siehe https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...n-instructions
Falls ja, dann bitte mal ein Debug Log erstellen, siehe https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...d-session-logs und uns via support@jdownloader.org schicken

Works fine here.
Maybe it's Google again doing A/B testing?
So far your YT slow speed report is the only one we got.

After testing a lot of things (network rj45 and wireless, downloading good by firefox and smartphones, etc.) I found the solutions: it´s about ipv6. If you disable the ipv6 on Win 10, jdownloader works fine with Youtube. With ipv6 is so slow like using VPN.
I don´t know for sure if it´s about Jdownloader, Youtube, my PC or my ISP. Ill keep investigating.

Thanks for your feedback.

Apart from the system settings, you can also change that setting only for JD see Settings -> Advanced Settings ->
Code:
InternetConnectionSettings.preferredipversion

Tried that solution to see if may help with my own issue; did absolutely nothing. The weird thing? A couple of days ago, that YT video that I presented previously as an example of the problem suddenly became downloadable like nothing was amiss; that said, the problem still persisted with several other videos.

@elrafaargentino
I just noticed that we're already covering that in our slow downloadspeed troubleshooting:
https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...-downloadspeed

@MarqFJA87
We didn't change any YT related code so whatever caused your issue to go away, it wasn't us

Default Audio Language

A few videos Ive tried to download I get with none English audio, I usually just download the audio on it's own and remux it with the video.

On the video below though the separate audio I get is also not English.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

How do I force English in either the original video download or separate audio download?
