Default Backup all settings

I need to backup ALL my settings including

-all linkfilter rules
-accounts

-download list
-linkgrabber lists

Do I just copy the CFG folder ?
Any other folders do I need to copy?

I need to do this because I need to move the program to another pc.

Do I then paste this copied CFG folder into the PC location of JD2?

Simply copy/backup the complete cfg folder.
Yes, simply restore/copy over. I suggest to delete existing cfg and replace with your copy/backup. Warning: this will delete all current lists/settings and replace with your copy/backup version!

yeap, i was going to remove existing CFG first and then pasting the copied CFG
since overwriting may have some unknown problems..

thanks for the warning.
I already made sure to finish my download queue
and as for any existing settings, where there was not really much of anything..

Most of my settings and customized rules were in the old CFG folder.

thanks for the reply
I just did this and all my settings and links are back.

For just the settings () i copy all *.json files in the cfg folder and menus_v2 [you could specifically chose a few with experience BUT for security do all!@]. That keep all my settings like accounts, linkgrabber, packagizer, menu customization, etc around 200kB.

cfg folder tend to become huge >650MB compared to install size of 275kB.

If you have some links to continue from previous installation, just select folders of links right click, other, create DLC (DownloadLinkContainer). File Load Link container in Fresh Install. I use portable version.

If you further wish to import ALL your download list just copy downloadlist.zip file in NEW fresh install.

BE CAREFUL however to UPDATE both old and new installations first BEFORE copying this file. Otherwise the new version might not recognize the file and delete it (happened a few times...).

I keep download lists to CHECK if i already downloaded a file (e.g youtube, etc). Wish there was a tool to just load ALL those multiple downloadlist(s) to just search like a voidtools-everything instance. I Must be able to write a python script to match dl.zip to filelists format loaded in say a multi-instances of vT-E, will try that..
