Default Notification when no downloads are running?

With some file hosts I switch VPN servers to re-enable free download credit. However I have to manually keep checking JD if it's still running. Is there any way to receive a notification when downloads are "stuck/not running"?

Thanks!

@Mave: You can use Eventscripter to send yourself a notification, see https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70525
Please ask in that thread for help/hint.

Why not let JDownloader auto switch VPN? you just have to create a script/setup a tool that can do the *reconnect* automatically and then setup it as external reconnect method in JDownloader

Thanks, unfortunately it seems to only work with OpenVPN.
