Hi I noticed a while ago that all the thumbnail images I download from YouTube are always 720p even when video is 1080p or higher, I'm wondering if anyone could explain this, or whether this is a bug?

I had a look through the advanced settings and I don't think I've got anything set up to cause this but I could be wrong.

When I add links using linkgrabber, some YT links work fine, and some are not added at all under the linkgrabber tab. I can't seem to tell why certain links work and others do not

The same here, some YOUTUBE links load in the Linkgrabber the Thumbnail and the Description files but NO the Video File, this started 3rd. April 2020. Any solution or Update?? thank you very much and I will be waithing for an answer. BYE

Hello from England! The YouTube plug-in stopped working for some YouTube videos - under LinkGrabber a new item appears with only .jpg and .txt items - no video nor audio. All File Types are checked in the Views panel on the right hand side. For other YT content the audio and video do appear. Why would it not appear for some?

I'm testing build dates "Sat Apr 04 17:02:08 CEST 2020" on Windows 10, and "Thu Feb 27 02:55:12 CET 2020" on Linux.

I tried to search the forum for "youtube" and it told me

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : youtube"

I have the same issue, 99% of links I try will only grab the description and image files but not the actual video itself.

Started 2-3 days ago.

Hi, I have the same issue, no video, only text and picture files.

It's 2 days that video downloading from youtube don't work anymore.

If you copy a link you obtain only a txt and a jpg, no audio no video.
If you copy a channel video link and process the playlist, you obtain some few videos (less than 10%) and more jpg and txt.

It happened in the past and solved with jdownloader update in few days I hope they could solve the issue again

I have to add, I have the same problem, but not on all youtube links, if happens more on music video with larger file size.

Here is an example of a video which can't be downloaded:

EXCLUSIVE: Trump goes one-on-one with Hannity to discuss coronavirus response

If you copy the link to JDownloader you'll end up with a jpg, a description txt and a subtitle srt. The video file itself and the audio won't show up. I experienced this with ALL FoxNews videos. I didn't experience it e.g. with WhiteHouse videos.

hmm. i tried that and i could not download that video either, does not show.

It's not about newer videos. I'm having the issue with a video from 2018...

Whereas a fresh 2-hour long vid is downloading just fine.

However, the example above I downloaded without a hitch:

Anyhow, I hope a solution comes soon. I like to download youtube daily.

it does behave a little weird. A video that I was not able to download last week worked one time yesterday and then not anymore after that.
I wanted to redownload it because I chose the wrong AV1 format.
