To remain valid, the youtube.com account logins have to be refreshed every few seconds.

Huh. After asking multiple times for an answer like this, someone else gets it? OK.... at least I mostly know what's going on now. I'm sure you can understand why the "one of thousands" defense rubs people the wrong way though, let's be honest here, the YT plugin is used way more than most of the others.

Its doing in on and off.I had 4 today..For some reason they leak through.
Anything that deals with MKV is deselected in YT plugins..

Retry again and it gets a MP4..

I only want MP4's and AVI's here..Any other file format is shut off in the YT plugin section....

@wppcproductions: could you please create a fresh log. Restart JDownloader, remove the link from any list, restart again, then add the link and in case the file is already mkv in linkgrabber, then you can stop and create the log. In case it's shown as mp4 but downloaded as mkv, then please create log when JD wants to download as mkv, then abort and then create new log.

Hi Jiaz. Thank you..I'll have put a delay on this since I cant clean out my linkgrabber list since I'm not done downloading them.I dont want to loose 300 links..

I'll get back to you with the test files and a new logs when they are all finished.

You don't have to clean the list Sorry for the missunderstanding. Just make sure the link you are testing didnt exist in list, then add it, wait for error to happen and create new log. Just try to avoid downloading other stuff that fills the log

I've experienced very slow DL speeds (50-70KB) in JD2 for YouTube videos recently regardles of OS, daytime and videos I've been testing.

Anyone with this issue?
One week ago I had 700KB-1.5MB.

Internet connection works fine with other sites. So I guess this is throtteling from YT?

@Horst1919: yt limits bandwidth to actual required bitrate*1.5 (for speed up of video). That's normal and been this way since several years now. Only way to increase bandwidth is to increase max connections/chunks but that can also lead to faster blocking by yt.

Jep, same here - seems YT has tightened the reins in this regard in the last few days.
Often only ~70-100 KiB/s per video and max ~500 KiB/s total.

What helps is to reset individual downloads and start again immediately.
Sometimes I have to repeat this 5, 6 times or even more until I get a quick "slot".
Then the speed remains quite stable over the entire download.

But maybe this mess up with the YT servers in the long run.
So presumably for a permanent solution (script...) not really a good idea either.

Still a bit strange to me that this happened only recently. For most of the DLs it's OK since the Pi runs anyway but it was sometimes "frustrating" to see these little DL speeds when it needed to be quick.

@m.fessler: Thanks for this 'workaround'! As you mentioned sometimes need to reset 5-10 times but then it loads with ~800KB/sec for each DL.

Which way/addon did you use to export your cookies?
Does your Google browser session continue to work while JD displays your account as invalid?

How to create a log that contains only the failed-login data?

To export cookies, I use the "Flag Cookies" add-on to the Waterfox 2020.04 (fork of Firefox 68.0) browser.

The Google/Youtube browser sessions remain functional while JD throws errors.
