Hi this is my first time here... due to my limited knowledge I wanted to ask you why my VPN isn't working with JDownloader.
I use ProtonVPN which provides the "split tunneling" option (it consists of re-directing traffic only for specific apps), so I selected DJ hoping it would go automatically but it was still using my default IP. I thought the problem was with ProtonVPN (and maybe it is), but when I try adding other apps to the list, they all work fine. However, when I disable the "split tunneling" option, JDownloader starts to work, yet I don't want to redirect ALL my PC traffic, since the VPN is kinda slow. So I think there might be an application that prevents DJ to connect properly. From what I can see in JD's settings there is an option to add proxies but my VPN automatically connects to the fastest server, and I think I'd have to insert all the IPs by hand. Can anyone help me with this? I'm on windows by the way... |

No idea about split tunnelling but I could give it a guess, maybe a Java process is what running JD vs the JDownloader.exe loader? I assume you're running windows? You should be able to confirm via Process Monitor or a Network activity monitor whilst downloading.
if that doesn't work maybe its due to JD using the 'default connection' (connection manager) it some how prevents the proton app from controlling it?
