Default JD2 with java 8.x

hi,

in the beginning, there have been some issues with different java versions. for example if PC runinng 24/7 with JD2, it crashed after some days due to memory overflow or something like that.

JD2 runs nice on java 7.x, but since 4-2015 java 7 is EOL.
unfortunately there is no official statement in FAQ about actual java versions, so the question is:

does JD2 runs fine with latest java 8u51 ?
i would be glad to hear some feedback from those who may have 8.x installed.

thx,

supa

I've been running Java 1.8.0_51 without any problems.

If you have any issues like crashes there should be HS_ERROR files within directory of JDownloader.jar or logs/

If you could provide those, we can then give some additional feedback.

Java runs fine with Java >= 1.7 and also runs on Java 1.6
Java 1.5 is not supported
