Default Youtube Issue/Suggestions/Questions thread

1) I wanted to download the mp3 of some video's but they all don't work while they actually do have a mp3 audio track in the mp4 and flv containers.

2) I always see this .tmp file if there's a mp4 file availlable. It's good for nothing. Pls exclude from listing.

Default Date bug

Hi. My problem is that i want to order the youtube videos by date. But i receive this odd result with this video: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Youtube plugin Customized Filename:
DATE: *date*.
DATE_TIME: *date_time* -
FORMAT_DATE: *date[YYYY/MM/dd]*.
FORMAT_DATE_TIME *date_time[YYYY/MM/dd]*
*videoname* (*quality*).*ext*

Youtube file downloaded:
DATE_ December 31, 2013.
DATE_TIME_ December 31, 2013 8_56_57 AM CET -
FORMAT_DATE_ 2014_12_31.
FORMAT_DATE_TIME 2014_12_31
Soft Spoken_ Mango Essence Chips (256kbit).m4a

I don't know why there is one year of difference between the different formats. For other videos it works fine.

Greetings.

Default Youtube Issue Thread!

No problem with general YouTube videos. But now, VEVO videos on YouTube can no longer be downloaded. As of today, most web browsers' extensions that are used to download YouTube videos are broken for VEVO videos.

Youtube uses a new streaming format for vevo / studio releases for movie trailers and music videos / and some other content. We do not currently support this format.

When we get some time we will figure out a way to support this newer content delivery method.

Raz, thanks for the reply. When did youtube implement this streaming format?

I'm not entirely convinced by this explanation as I've been having this linkgrabber youtube issue for a while, this is the first time I decided to seek the jdownloader boards out and have my say. I would date this issue back to a year or two ago, before Jdownloader 2 even got released.

I also find the strict vevo/studio release explanation odd as I had the very same issue on regular videos from ordinary users...

The popular Firefox extension Flashgot had a similar problem with youtube format changes and they fixed that in the new version of the extension. Possibly contact the developers for some help.

I do not know if this is temporary or YouTube actually been implemented RTMPE for all VEVO videos (forever). I still can not download it even with the using Internet Download Manager (latest version), KeepVid, etc. This is a video that clearly can not be downloaded.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Hopefully there is a solution or explanation about this. Anyone?

off-topic
IDM and many programs dont support rtmpe.
if rtmpe, you can try:
Spoiler:

use getflv, tubedigger, foxreal youtube flv downloader, rtmpdump helper+rtmpdump K-S-V, rtmpexplorer+rtmpdump git, streamtransport, coojah+blader, stream-recorder.com/forum for support

if adobe hds, too hard

don't know if you've solved this already but... for stubborn youtube vids, I download it directly in Safari. Use the Clicktoflash extension that allows you to DL the flash videos that it can convert to HTML5.

Default Some youtube videos dont add in the linkgabber

Hello.

I´m using the version 0.9.581 of jdownloader e the version 7 update 21 of JAVA. Windows 7 32 bits

And I can´t download some videos from youtube. Some links works, some not.

I add the links but the jdownloader dont find the videos.

So, I tried use the Jdownloader 2 and I added my youtube account, but still dont work.

Neither the Jdownloader nor Jdownloader 2.0 with youtube account find the videos.

example of a video that the jdownloader don't find the videos and don't download:

I think this VEVO videos problem is not temporary, but permanent. I think this new kind of protection so that the video can only be watched (in web browser) but can not be downloaded. From now on, everyone should start looking for new ways to download this VEVO videos. Good luck.

Hi William, just tested a chrome extension. It seems to download youtube just fine, just like jdownloader did back when it worked. Back to business as usual

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...gcjfg?hl=en-GB

The download button appears in the video info's page down below as a button, even has options to pick out .flv's and .mp4's at 360/480/720/1080p

Now if only someone from the jdownloader dev team could figure this out...

I installed that and it does still work. You have to be careful to uncheck options for a toolbar and changing your search option.
