Question Extract files with password?

Hi,

I got the extract file with password problem when using beta 2(Thu 10 May 11:02:12 CEST 2012). I am using ubuntu 12.10 TLS desktop.

I added the extract password to Password List before downloaded the files, however after download finished, there are two issues I meet,
1. it cannot extract automatically and still pop up password input window.
2. Although, I input the correct password, jd still isn't able to extract files. I have to extract manually.

The password is looks like this "redcrane_18p2p.com_touch99.com_redcrane186.blogspot.com" , does long password cause problem?
Spoiler:

Thanks,

currently there is a bug inside 7zip that causes 7zip crashing when using passwords length >28. we have to wait till this got fixed in 7zip and then we can update library in jd

pw is in the list, but I entered it manually too
7z.exe (9.20) extracts it perfectly.

again no question about overwrite (creates ....zip.part file while downloads),
after Finished, overwrite the previous file.

wait a bit, there are serious issues with some of the 7zip files within the libary jar. Affects some OS and not others.

After new update affecting 7zip there is no change, overwrite question for both files.
I started an old download (very slow, more than 1 hour) - JD previously extracted its files.

Edit:
Why don't you use sevenzipjbinding.jar etc from the nightly
It worked well, problems were
rar pw has to be in the 1st line
unneded extra directory (now solved ?)

because the old sevenzip version could not extract with pw longer than 28 chars.
i fixed the new one and could verify the workaround on raztokis computer.
make sure you updated to latest version. does it work now?

the logfile only exists during running jd, so start jd, wait till all is started, then you can find the file

OK, extract is working, I'll look into details

Thanks Jiaz

Edit
Extracting pw protected rar file works too, I couldn't try with passwords length >28.

Edit2:
When I extract the downloads automatically or manually from the download tab, or from the Main menu/Tools/Extract Files menu item, the extractor WORKS WELL (as I like) with the "only if there are no root folders" option enabled in Archive Extractor settings.

When I extract from the main menu, in the "Open dialog" I see my download folder in the "Look In" field.
As I see, this dialog doesn't automatically refresh, a Refresh button would be useful.
Selecting archives and clicking Open, the "Extract To" dialog follows.
I would like to see here the archive file name too, for example: extracting <the selected archive file> .
This would be especially useful, when there are more than one file selected, and hard to know which file belongs to the actual extract dialog.
The current directory is again my download folder, but the "Choose new Directory:" "Save In" field contains its parent folder. However if I Save without changing, JD saves (extracts) into the Current Directory. This is very disturbing for me.
Why doesn't contain the "Save In" field originally the name of the Current Directory ?
After clicking Save, I would like to see, what is happening - extracting progress, what is the result: the extract was successful or not...

In Advanced Settings there isn't "only if there are no root folders" option, but Extraction.subpathenabledifallfilesareinafolder
It looks to be the same, they change togetger. I think the 1st name is proper, the second has perhaps the opposite meaning ? (sorry, my English)
