I hope this's the right section. I've a problem with a download, it is almost finished, this is the link:

The problem is that if i start the download it says me "Temporarily not available" and I have to wait 10 minutes. How can i solve? The download is almost finished!

I haven't run into this issue for several days now, so I can't try something that was pointed out to me. So, I'll have you try it to see if it works.

Right click on the link and go into Properties. The first option in there is "Check Online Status." Run that and see if that clears the error. If so, do a "Force Download Start," which should continue the download from where it left off (assuming you have a premium account and you are allowed to resume a download).

If that doesn't clear the error, let us know.

I had already tried it, however I did it again, but nothing, always the same problem
But i don't know if there'is a premium account for this site, it's the Internet Archive, and is totally free

I just had another "Temporarily unavailable" link. Here is the log:

11.02.14 16.37.48to11.02.14 16.45.31 jdlog://9760534130931/

After the 10 min timed out, the link changed to "Try restarting this link." BTW, it was 99.83% done when this happened.

Doing the "Check online status" resulted in no change. It still indicates "Try restarting this link." Doing Resume just cleared the error status. It did not resume.

To top it off, the 2nd file I was downloading also failed with "Temporarily unavailable" after completing 94.86%. The same steps used above had the same results.

BTW, the size of the file being downloaded has nothing to do with when the "Temporarily unavailable" occurs. It is the percentage done. The first file is about 50% the size of the 2nd file.

The only cure was to reset and force the download to start.

This is why my suggestion in the other thread to have the "Force Download Start" clear all error flags without deleting the file so that the download can resume was put forth.

For file .HDFEED.ts.part003.rar you got "HTTP/1.1 416 Requested Range Not Satisfiable" because Range: bytes=166666667-166666666

This is a known problem, resume was done but got the same result, only reset will clear that and start from 0.

So, there is no way to reset the download w/o deleting the file so that a force download will end up doing a resume?

Is there a fix in the works, or is this not fixable?

UPDATE:

Since posting the above, I got another "Temporarily unavailable" (96.78%). Does the following log contain the same error?

I had to remove the "www.anonym.to" from the front of the link in order to see the entry.

Thanks for pointing out that this has been a problem for years. I don't expect it to be fixed any time soon.

UPDATE:

I've just had the same file get hit with the "Temporarily unavailable" problem twice, resulting in about 6 hrs of wasted/lost download time. Now I have to try for a third time, which means I could have downloaded three files in the space of one.

I really hope that this problem gets fixed, and soon. My head is hurting banging on the brick wall.

For me, no. After I posted my update and restarting the failed download, I went to bed. After getting up, I find that the two downloads had stopped because it now believes that the plugin is in error. The one file stopped at 99.35% and the other at 88.29%

Here is that set of logs: 12.02.14 16.19.41to12.02.14 16.18.38 jdlog://7780634130931/

I then did a restart to download the latest updates. After that I did a force start of the first one, only to have it declared as "Temporarily unavailable." I now have to try and download it a fourth time.

The other file was also declared "Temporarily unavailable."

We understand that you can't, but maybe by reporting all of the times that it happens, it might get higher up on the list of things to fix by the developers.

Second hit from the search (post #10) suggest to set chunks to 1. Maybe "chunks handling" is not perfect.

Ya, saw that posting. Don't know why it went in one eyeball and out the other, without sinking in.

Both of the current downloads have switched to a single chunk. Download going slower, but we'll see what happens.

UPDATE:

While downloads are now a lot slower, I've not had any issues with the UL plugin or getting "Temporarily unavailable" failures.

So, indeed it looks like chunk handling is the issue.
