Default Jdownloader Not Downloading Into Proper Folder

My set up has bee as follows for YEARS:
Downloads - Download Folder
Extracts - Extracts sub-folder of downloads.

But now, no matter what I do Jdownloader downloads EVERYTHING into the extracts folder and extracts from there. I tried switching my settings/renaming folders but JD just went ahead and created an extracts folder on it's own

Hope you can help.
Thanks

Disable subfolder rule, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...ackage-feature
this is default activated and will cause special subfolder with name of package
please know that only new added links will be affected by changes

I did as you said and everything was fine for ONE download, then everything started downloading to the extracts folder. I actually turned off auto extract and it created the folder anyway!

How do you add the links? Via Clipboard, then the default download folder will be used. When you add manually via dialog, then check the specified folder there
Settings look good, so that would be the first guess what might cause this
