How do I stop the "Subfolder" creation in the download list?
This has been something that's irritated me forever, I want to see the actual download file in the download list, not an extra folder in order to see it.
Of course, I do believe a subfolder should be created if one is selecting many files with a similar name (but it doesn't have to) for download, but otherwise I just want to see the file I've selected for download in the download list. I'm tired of always having to click the "x" so I can see the file itself, what's happening with it. Is there any way of fixing this? This has become a special problem also because when I've now switched to JD2, moving over my download listing to is has caused all the links that were "SafeLinking" links, now the subfolder is named "safelink links" whatever instead of the name of the file. Anyone know how I can fix that also, or how I can just get rid of all the subfolders in the download list, and just see the download file only in the list? Thanks much. P.S. with JD2, instead of the Host Name showing in the columns, you now show the host icon..... That just doesn't work. Is there any way the HostName can be showed instead of the Icon like it used to? Last edited by leeuniverse; 16.02.2015 at 19:31. |

nearly all of those questions can be answered by searching the forum, been covered multiple times. Or could be found by using the settings > advanced > and using filter with desired keywords
auto expanding packages advanced setting > LinkCollector: Package Auto Expanded you can hide single child packages in download and linkgrabber tabs advanced setting > GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Hide Single Child Packages multiple child packages can not be hidden. hoster icon, yes you can display hoster name also in column advanced > GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Show Full Hostname or double click the hoster icon (not in package, DownloadLink only) it will bring up the mouse over without waiting or you can edit the delay advanced > GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings: Tooltip Delay (I've set to 500ms) give some examples of safelinking so that I can look into the packagename issue. raztoki

Ya, I've tried figuring it out, but maybe I'll get it now with your pointers. Thanks much.
The safelinking issue occured when I moved the "config" file over to the new install of JD2. I don't know yet if it occurs on new downloads. I did test one Safelink download, and the folder named properly the same as the file, so it's likely just a small bug with transfering the download list over. No biggy. But, here's a screenshot just so you can see what happens. |

Thank heavens..... Got rid of that subfolder. Wee wee
Thanks again. You really should have that setting as default. BTW, JD2 is looking nice.... Good work guys. Last edited by leeuniverse; 16.02.2015 at 20:23. |

ok if you can reproduce the issue when adding fresh safelinking links let us know.
I know if links add via dlc/containers they can set packagename. if they have silly packagename defined in container it can be annoying identifying objects.
