Default preventing double downloads

Hello.

If I keep the old downloaded files in the Downloads, all is fine. All double downloads will be skipped. After a while, the list in there are getting very big.

Is there a possibility to prevent a second download request of the same file?
I found out, there is a ZIP in the cfg-Directory where all downloads are listed, maybe something like a reconfigure of that list to shorten it, so less lines are shown in the Downloads window?

Bye, Christian.

Default

At the moment there is only
1.) keep the files in list -> list will become larger and larger and memory use will increase
2.) make use of eventscripter , see https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=70525
and write sort of *check* script. Ask mgpai for help. For example you could write out details of finished links to disk and later check against this *history* before starting a download. mgpai is our script master, so I'm sure he will come up with a nice script solution to this

This is a long time *feature idea*
