Keep JDownloader 2 in Running State
Whenever there are no more links/packages to download JDownloader enters a "stopped" state. Is there a way to disable that behavior?
I want to keep JDownloader in the running state at all times unless i manually turn it off. Thanks! |

@jcsnider: It is not possible to keep the "download controller" in "running" state after all links have finished downloading.
Any particular reason you want it to keep in that state? |

I'm writing an app that utilizes the my.jdownloader api to acta as a bridge between Sonarr/Radarr (manage content/retrieve torrents), send torrents to Real-Debrid, and pass real debrid links to JDownloader.
I was hoping to use JDownloaders "download controller" state (running vs stopped) as the authoritative on/off switch for each of my other systems. That way I could stop everything and start everything within the JDownloader interface. The alternative method is to change the code of my "bridge" so it keeps track of whether everything should be on/off and then it will have to periodically check JDownloaders state when adding new files/links and turn it on whenever it turns itself off. Ultimately I was hoping that I could keep the "download controller" running in order to save calls to the api. From a programming perspective it's a lot less code if JDownloader remained in the last set state. I was thinking that there was probably a simple setting that I was having a hard time finding, but either way that's no big deal and I can work around it. Thanks much! |

JDownloader controller only *runs* when there are pending/unfinished links in list. Would not make sense to have it *running* without anything to download in list.
Why not just check *running* state to turn of your computer? I don't understand your code. In case you leave JDownloader in running state, how do you decide to shutdown computer then if you still have to check JDownloader for running downloads because you want *running state also without anything to download* ? Wouldn't it be much easier to query for *running* state and JDownloader being not in *running* state = okay, it's safe to shutdown. I don't see less code required?! You add links and have to query/wait until all links are downloaded -> state changed to stopped?

If you are looking to automatically start the downloads , by default, the download controller starts 'running' as soon as the the links are added to the download list. You can enable 'auto confirm' in settings, or use "/linkgrabberv2/moveToDownloadlist" API call to send the links to the download list. |
