Default An Internet Download Manager Feature thats immediately required in JDownloader

Internet Download Manager has download address refresh option.
(which I would very much like to have on Jdownloader)

IDM uses this cool way to update the address of broken or partially downloaded links by automatically opening the webpage from which it was downloaded on the browser and waits till we click the download button to capture the new refreshed download address and resumes the file download.
IDM does this automatically when we click resume for broken or partially completed downloads. It kind of waits till we click download on the page to collect the address( just like jdownloader waits for reconnect script recorder to detect a reconnect)

This feature not being in Jdownloader is killing me.

What hosts do you download from? Because normally you don't have to do this yourself. Plugins will handle the download and refresh links if necessary.
For generic http links you can refresh/set new download url via rightclick context menu.

Would be nice if you can provide more information on what links you're downloading. Maybe it would make more sense in adding native support in JDownloader

just download a variant video from youtube.
The video should be long and the connection should be slow, so that after sometime the download kind of gets stuck with no response.
Also I dont have a reconnect.
I wasnt able to set a reconnect

I dont know whether its because I didnt wait long enough.
But I gave it a whole lot of time in waiting to see whether the download resumes or not.
Then I had to change the download address manually by right clicking and selecting change url.

Also youtube video downloads only happened at 60KBps max, but if I use a site like genyoutube.net to get the video link of a youtube video and do a download on IDM, it gets downloaded at 200-250KBps.
My high speed download is in the range of 2MBps by the way.

But I think i set the max chunks in JDownloader to 20 connections whereas IDM downloaded only in 8 connections (does increasing connection numbers can decrease the download speed too?)

Any way could you please addd a refresh download url button on right click, so that when you click on it the software opens the download page on the browser.(instead of the download url)

I'm sorry but I don't understand. Why struggle to find the final stream url yourself?
Why not simply add the youtube link and let JDownloader do the rest...no need to update anything.
Youtube limits bandwidth to actual required playback bandwith since long time, that's why singel connection is that slow. You can try to enable Settings-Advanced Settings, search for bypass.

Either you added a generic URL, then JDownloader does only know that one url or you've added an URL with plugin support and then don't have to refresh anything by yourself

A method to *bypass* the bandwidth limitation of the stream
