Hi devs!

I found a book on archive.org and I'd like to save a copy for offline viewing. Usually, you can borrow books for 14 days but some are available for only one hour.

If I open the URL with jD's LinkGrabber, it shows all the pages in the download queue. However, when you select "Start all downloads", only the first 10 pages are downloaded (the preview) and the rest of them all fail.

This behavior is the same when I have account in Account Manager and when I don't.

I've also tried clicking the "borrow" link and then I was able to view all the pages in the browser however jD still could only download first 10 pages.

Could you please fix this Decrypter so it can save all the pages when you've borrowed the book?

Hi,

I'm sorry but we do not support downloading borrowed books so far.
Here are your options:
- Download them manually
- Find another tool for this purpose
- Implement this functionality on your own: We're open source

I've done some research on this.
The single book pages are not really protected but the book borrowing only counts per active session and here it was terminated early (seemed randomly) so even when I had borrowed a book I was never able to view all pages

Our next archive.org plugin update will contain several improvements.
Here is a short list:

• books with multiple chapters are now supported
• some previously un-downloadable books are now downloadable
• non downloadable book preview pages are now immediately marked as offline instead of trying all of them one by one as this status is pre-known
• added plugin settings to define book download quality see Settings -> Plugins -> archive.org
• added plugin settings to define book crawler behavior
• minimized time needed to start single archive.org downloads
