Default [Not possible] Skip linkcheck for Youtube

Hello,

I have a small Youtube channel to rip (more than 21.000 videos), I just need the mp3, because it's music.

The linkchecking is extremely slow = between 1.5 second and 2 second is needed to check ONE video !!!

i.e. 31.500 to 42.000 seconds = let's say 40.000 seconds, that's more than 11 hours totally wasted, I don't need to have the links checked. Just download the links if possible, or skip them if you can't.

Is there a way to deactivate the linkchecking for youtube ?

Thanks

currently this is not an option for youtube, though you can disable LinkCollector.dolinkcheck in advanced settings while you add said links, and re-enable after added

Youtube is an exception since a lot of things which happen during the linkcheck happen in the crawler - to put it simpler: Even if you disable the global linkcheck you will not be able to skip it for yt links because of the way our plugin architecture is designed.

In thise case you might be better off using other tools such as yt-dlp.

Hallo, Freunde !
[that was the name of my German schoolbook, a few decades ago]

Thank you both for your answers. I have tried the Raztoki method, but it's still slow as hell, just like you said, pspzockerscene. I have also tried many commercial softwares, nothing works, there's always a link check before the download.

I will try YT-DLP but I need a GUI, and I fear things will be way more complicated than JDownloader.

Anyway, thanks again for your fantastic program. I can't imagine the amount of work (and people ?) involved in JD's development and updates.

:)
