Caching already downloaded files (preventing re-download) | Download history
The public domain / open source program ripme2 can "remember" which files it has downloaded from which web site.
I have tried to leave the files in the download queue in JDownloader, and indeed this will prevent re-download. However, that method quickly creates clutter, and after a while the performance is severely affected (long response times) when the number or already downloaded files increases. I would like to propose an optional feature in JD (like a check mark in the general settings) where already downloaded files are "remembered" and not redownloaded. In ripme2 this has been done with no notable performance impact. ripme2: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

I'm sorry but this will be a disappointing answer for you.

However, that same request has been asked by other users in the past. See other similar threads e.g.: https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...light=undelete https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...light=undelete https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...wnload+history https://board.jdownloader.org/showth...wnload+history * Yes I know some of those threads are about "move downloads to trash" which might seem like another topic but it is all related to having a better/real "download history"! In the past we've also already given reasons on why this will not happen soon/ever and why it would be so complicated to change the current system. However JDownloader is open source and you're free to start working on said features, see: https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...up-ide-eclipse EDIT Ticket:
