Replace "Pause"-Speed-Limit with a BITS-style download setting
Heya!
I'm a huge fan of BITS, the Background Intelligent Transfer Service since I noticed that you're actually able to, for example, play games online and have a decent latency while the download in the background is still going pretty fast. (More on the subject here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backgro...ansfer_Service So...would it be possible to invent a similar type of service and implement it into JD...instead of just limiting the DL speed to 10KB/s via the pause button? (I have no idea if the technology is patented by MS...) So far, N |

BITS is just a Microsoft program. I think what you are looking for is IP QOS (Quality of Service, reserving a proportion of available bandwidth for things like telephone or video communication).
Adding QOS control to JD might be a good idea. |
