Default Problem extracting rar files

Happened these few days when after downloading and when extracting, JD2 will report error in extracting, although I can extract manually using 7zip and Winrar. I have included 2 most recent logs.

You've got to install RAR5 support, see https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=71069

Thanks for your response, had a read through the thread you provided, but still unsure as how to install rar5 support. Can you please give me exact instructions. I am using WIndows 10

Edit: I found the instructions, downloaded the zip files with 2 jar files inside, extracted those to Jdownloader/libs folder and I used the tools/extract file function and it is extracting whereas before it just reported an error.

Thanks

Hi,

I am using JDownloader 2 on MacOS.
For months it has worked with some bugs, but since a week every archive I want to extract reports error extraction within JDownloader 2.
I also tried UnRarX nor Stuffit Expander but it says :
The structure of the archive is damaged." for Stuffit
and "file.part01.rar" is not RAR archive. No files to extract." for UnRarX

The only solution is to connect my external drive where are saved these files --by the way I store them on a NTFS partition -- to a windows computer.
As I said it worked fine for months and i did not something special recently.. I only accepted updates from jdownloader as often as updates come.

Thanks for your tips.

Please provide example links so we can check the links/parts.
Did you try to store on different drive/location? Maybe the drive is dying/dead?
There have been no changes in JDownloader download since years.

The only solution is when trying to extract from Windows through network with shared drives or through USB external drive.
With MacOS it always fails with JDownloader or with RAR external program whatever filesystem it is !??
I do not want to change OS :o(

RAR5 is not supported by JDownloader...
But RAR5 is not supported neither by UnRarX nor Stuffit Expander ?? I checked UnRarX is the last update version 2.2 and Stuffit Expander also 15.0.7
What does RAR5 hold that is so special ?
I take a look at your answer but I already saw it and did not take more interest since it is from 2016..
Thanks.

For UnRarX support you just need to replace unrar file with an updated one from rarsoft..
