Created that log after attempting to download a couple of file off ninjastream and having the errors. Is there another way to do it?
Example links: 1. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** 2. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** When I paste these links in the browser, the downloads start no problem. Your browser will download a 1KB file which is the "playlist" of the stream but not the stream itself! Both of your linked streams appear to be broken - you can easily test that by either pasting them in VLC media player (you can only play the first few seconds) or trying to download them using the dedicated Tool "Ffmpeg". Where did you get these URLs from? Ninjastream.to URLs usually usually come in this pattern: ninjastream.to/download/xXxXyYyY -psp-

Got these links from 9xbuddy that scraps several websites for download links. Something like youtubedl.
You're right about the m38u link. It's a playlist. The other link though is not and it actually downloads the entire video on the browser (I'm using Brave) and it's watchable just fine with no converting or anything. So I know the file is correct, just can't be added to jd2. |

@ifelsethenend
- For m3u8, you got this error: -> Exception thrown at jd.plugins.PluginForHost.errLog(PluginForHost.java:437): jd.plugins.PluginException: FFmpeg Failed->ERROR_PLUGIN_DEFECT|Value:-1 Can you check your FFmpeg? - For 9xbud, the format is not known to JD. I believe if you paste it again in browser now, you will get error.

Yeah, the links has an expiry, so after a while they don't work.
Anyway, as I said I don't really have a problem downloading them. I just wanted to do that using JD2. That's why I created this ticket, thinking it would be useful. Thank you guys for your help. Cheers |

You still haven't answered my initial question completely:

If you had the "original" URLs you wouldn't run into these issues... -psp-

So you did put a ninjastream in there and hit the "Download" button?
Sorry I'm still not understanding how you got these URLs... -psp-

9xbuddy is a site that scraps other sites for video links. It works like youtubedl.
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** You paste the link to a page with video in it and 9xbuddy scraps it to get all available video links to download (with all possible resolutions). **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Last edited by ifelsethenend; 28.02.2021 at 08:51. What link did you paste into 9xbuddy?
The instruction in /howto: View a video on any site - Copy the video URL. So it should be a video URL, not any site, so logically in your case it is a ninjastream URL. If that is true, then paste it directly to JD. Or, maybe you use the instructions under "Easy Other"? May we know the link to the page with that video? ...9xbud.com/hls/aHR0cHM6L... should be processed by 9xbud. .m3u8 link can be processed by JD.

I really don't know how to explain this any simpler.
When I come across a web page that has an embedded video in it, and there is no download link to the video, there are still ways to download those videos depending on the platform they are hosted on. For youtube for example, you can use youtubedl by pasting the youtube page url (which is not a direct url to the video it self, it's just the url of the page containing the video) and what youtubedl does is scrap that page for the video url itself (along with all available resolutions for it) and download the selected video file. This is also similar to what HLS (which is a browser plugin) does. You play the embedded video on any page and it detects the url that has the video file itself with all possible resolutions and gives you the option to download it. 9xbuddy is the same, but it's just a webpage instead of a program or a browser plugin. you give it the url of the page that contains the video and it scraps it to find the urls for the video files themselves that can be downloaded with all possible resolutions. The problem I'm facing only happens with videos that are embedded using the ninjastream platform. None of the previous mentioned services were able to extract the proper url for the video files from ninjastream so that I can add them to JD2 and download those videos. This is not specific to a certain url or video. This happens with all webpages that have embedded videos from the ninjastream platform. I have seen another ticket today also about ninjastream which seems to confirm that there is a problem with that specific platform. Although I'm experiencing a slightly different error, but with the same end result. Last edited by ifelsethenend; 02.03.2021 at 09:23. Reason: clarity |

So here one last time: As long as I'm unable to generate the URLs that you got there I'm unable to reproduce your issue as I can't use your links as they're expired. -psp-
