NTFS - issues
I checked it many times, immediately shut down (schedule), when the download still progress,
is not safe for the NTFS file system. Eg. CHKDSK finds errors in the index $I30. I renew my request. How to safely stop downloading, close the application and turn off the system. Thank you for any suggestions and help. |

Filesystem should never corrupt when you normally shutdown your computer!
When you power off your computer, every filesystem may get corrupted/have errors.

Jiaz - Please suggest an alternative, better program to shutdown your computer after a specified time.

I'm sorry, don't know any. But when you shutdown a computer normally (so you see logout, shutdown screen) then this is a sign that either your hardware is buggy or you have a severe driver/filesystem issue. A filesystem does NOT corrupt when you shutdown a computer by normal ways.

I know, but it happens all the time when downloading, and night I set a specific time to turn off.
The "FORCE" closing the application (even if javaw.exe closes a very long time !!!) Never otherwise I have no problems, only when forcefully close applications(javaw.exe) still progress downloading... He needs another way to wait a 3-60 seconds before the application javaw.exe completely closed and then shut down the system. It's probably complicated workaround :( |

You can try to send JDownloader a kill/terminate signal. It will then gracefully shutdown itself

All files were downloaded, but the list endlessly repeats the same green error.
Green warning that the server is temporarily unavailable (Host: Vk.com) You can add some workaround for Host Vk.com? to immediately close the application, even if the list will constantly repeat the same errors (temporary server not available)? yes, yes, yes Last edited by Lram32; 10.02.2016 at 21:26. So you want the Shutdown module of JDownloader to kick in in this situation?

I did a monthly test. My system is set so that to force end processes and shuts down. Do not shut down the system during the JD2 still downloads files. I did not have so far any errors on the disk, so it must have been caused by the closure system (fast killing process javaw.exe - when he was still in the background not end)when downloads still running).

[Solved] NTFS - issues

It is not solved, because you can not in the typical way to finish downloading

It is solved because this has nothing to do with JDownloader
When you do stuff that breaks your filesystem, then it is your own fault. Under normal shutdown (even when forcing applications to shutdown), a filesystem will NOT break!

Btw. this solved is about NTFS issues, it has nothing to do with the ticket

Hm.
I hope you understand. Other applications have some protection. "The system will shut down in 1 minute" 1 minutes should be enough time the application automatically terminated in the background (if it is "heavy" use a lot of RAM) |

Close JDownloader normally. Or send the proper signal to inform JDownloader to shut down!
Killing it by *force* is never a good solution.

If one or more, even 100 or more green error that can not Close JDownloader normally. |

Of course you can. The issue has nothing to do with this.

How do I show you that it does not work ...
I not have now the ability to record video on what I do on the computer. Do you think that the log will record any details? |

What exactly is not possible? Stopping downloads and then close JDownloader normally?

That is what the "still open" ticket is about. I talked about closing JDownloader manually.
So please wait till the ticket is done.

1. Close the application manually. 2. Shut down computer safely (Menu Start-> Close) 3. Start the system and JDownloader (Warning: application has not been properly closed) Hm, I'm sorry, but I do not know what's going on. I do not want to write stupid things, so you'll know better: The application is closed, but the process jawav.exe is active in the background o.O |

When you close JDownloader, then JDownloader will start update process in case there is a pending update.

No.
But I can tell you that the more links (download list) or (linkgrabber list) the application is closed longer. |

|
|||
|

I mean, that process javaw.exe is no longer active even after closing JD2.
