Im running Ubuntu 11.04, and recently downloaded and installed JDownloader.
I Installed it via the .deb file. But it doesn't have any internet access, i cannot check status, download or even update.
I though it was a problem with my installation but i Downloaded the .zip instead and ran the JDownloader.jar file. Same problem.
I have also tried changing the Java Environment, from OpenJDK to SunJDK, still no use.

make sure you setup proxy in case you need it
or setup a correct proxy

If you're using the automatic reconnect feature, please disable it or increase the "First IP check wait time (sec)" and "Timeout for ip change [sec]" settings in Settings -> Reconnection -> Advanced.

java -version show?
did you check proxy settings?

I tried to download jdownloader windows web installer but it always failed, the maximum download i get is 6% only. I also tried your windows offline installer but the same thing happened. Actually I was using already jdownloader 3 months ago but last 2 weeks ago my hardisk was broken so i have to change it and all my files cannot be recovered thats why I'm downloading the jdownloader installer again but this time can't get it. Its been 3 days now attempting to download it but with no avail. Can somebody help me.

seems some issue on your side. all our servers are working fine.
i would check drivers/hardware/wlan / router

Do you own an internet security/firewall? You might have to allow java.exe and javaw.exe.

Well, since im using Linux I dont have a firewall.

Also, It has nothing to do with the timeout value, since its not even checking the online status....Im running on 1.6.9_25. I have tried all the various version of java environment and still no difference...

did you try sun java?

I suppose you don't lock the door of your house/car neither.

Replace your java with a more stable version like JRE (1.)6 update 21. See "**External links are only visible to Support Staff**.
