Can I rename all links before downloading?
I just put a long list of links into JD2. Hundreds of links. Every file is different and has a different size, but the name of all files is identical. Not good.
Is there a way to rename every link before downloading? I know I can do this one-by-one, but that would take a very long time. Is there a way to change all of them to link001, link002, etc? |

You can change "file already exists" settings to autorename. Then JD will append numbers on download.

Question is, why are all the filenames the same?

I have no idea. I have never seen a list of links like this before. Makes no sense.
I found the pref you were referring to and set it for auto-rename. Thanks. |

Like I said, I found the pref you suggested about auto-numbering when "file already exists".
New problem now. The first link starts to download, and all the rest say "mirror downloading", even though they are all different sizes. They won't even attempt because they all have the same name. Any suggestion? |

Possible to give some example links (if you want also via support@jdownloader.org)
What hosts are the links on? You can change mirror mode in Settings-Advanced Settings->search for mirror and change to safe mode

Changing the mirror mode to safe in the advanced prefs worked! Now all the links are automatically retitling themselves with a number. Thanks.
