When using the API download mode on the tiktok plugin you get a "try restarting this link (plugin outdated?)" error

can we get a fix for this?

tiktok has changed API. Just tested other tools and API mode doesn't work anymore for them either.
It is unknown when/if we can find a way to access/use API again

@Neurotoxin001: I'm sorry but the changes doesn't help. I guess the changes have nothing to do with api failing since few hours because no changes regarding api in that recent changes of the project.

@Neurotoxin001: That's the file I checked and it did not work for me. The link/commit of your had no changes regarding api mode of tiktok and was older than the earliest reports of tiktok failing that I received. Lets wait for next updated build of yt-dlp and see if it works with it, but right now I could not get it working

jd can now download vids when on API download mode but it's still with the watermark

API mode is currently disabled. The plugin currently enforces Website mode until we found a working api solution.
