What are your downloadsettings? how many chunks? how many paralell downloads?

Out of memeory should NEVER EVER happen.
If you have 1000000000000000000000 Links in your list, you should increase the JD memory.

There is a JDownloader2.vmoptions file in your install directory.

Add -Xmx512m or even -Xmx1024m
