MyJdownloader?
I wanted to start a post about MyJdownloader. I can't seem to find any information about it. I've had play and it looks quite nice, although didn't connect very well.
My real question is, will there be a remote api for MyJdownloader? Since the remote api has been removed from the jDownloader app, this leaves developers of the mobile apps for jDownloader out in the cold. If there will be an api, when will that be? Thanks Josh |

There is and there will be an API. But there are a few news:
1. The new API requires a MyJDownloader Account. 2. Login and all API Calls are encrypted 3. You do not use the users IP to connect, but api.jdownloader.org 4. This means that you can connect to your JD from anywhere. NO portforwarding/nat settings required. For a user.. it's pretty ease: 1. Register for a MyJDownloader Account 2. Enter your logins in JD 3. Enter your logins in the mobile app/webinterface/whatever DONE - connect to your jd from anywhere you have internet For a Developer, it's a bit tricky. There are keys, secrets, encryption, signing, session tokens, regain tokens.... phuuuu. The good news is: We are already working on libraries to make developers live even easier than before. A JavaScript library and a Java (Works for android as well) API will be released pretty soon. Docs will follow. If you do not want to wait, we can help you right now.. Join our webchat #jdteam. I will help as good as possible.

Does this also mean that we are seeing headless support in the near future too?

Could also be done were JD2 supporting headless mode. pyload runs on my NAS but it justs isn't as good as JD.

I just uploaded a new version to my.jdownloader.org that should connect correctly to the current JD2.
Thanks for trying it out, but keep in mind this is a very early test version =) |

Headless
Headless: Yes. Headless will come pretty soon
For Devs: There is a Java implementation of the new API Communication in /JDownloader/src/org/jdownloader/myjdownloader/Test.java

For real? Cause I've been fiddling around with screen but I'm clueless Linux newbie. I'd really love to replace pyload with JD2 on my NAS.

There is a Javascript API now as well:

The link is broken. Also, I'm not entirely sure how about any benefits of Javascript in this context. Newbie, you know.

I have just tried the MY JDownloader functionality and it looks great
One question: Will there be a possibility to control more than one instance of JD with one myJD account? I have not tried to put the same login/password into two different JDs... |

Currently only one JD can be connected to your My JD account.
