Just a question: Is the banner so annoying? Is it the size or colour? Feedback would be nice

Banner Feedback requested by JIAZ
In another post you requested feedback on the banner. From my perspective it is a simple matter that I donated and occasionally, even though I donated, the ads, in one form or another, keep coming back. It is just irritating. Not to mention that the purpose of donating was to get rid of the ads but that anyone, whether they donated or not has that capability. Have you thought about having two versions, similar to the program Privazeer, that has a donator version and a non donator version? Those that donate get an adfree version, those that don't get ads.
I realize that it takes money to develop a program and run a website and that it is a constant battle with the leechers who think they should get everything free. I expect to pay for the software I run and that includes jdownloader so I am not adverse to it going to a paid commercial program with an online verification to stop the leechers. Particularly since it appears that the primary purpose of jdownloader, for most people, is to obtain warez or other illegal content. |

@straycat19: Unfortunately it is not possible to let your JDownloader *know* that you have donated. This would require some sort of *contributor account*(online check) or some kind *protection* for contributor versions, for example bind it to your system/hardware/registration number. We don't want either because of privacy reasons.
That's why you can easily disable the banner in advanced settings. Maybe in future we will come up with a better solution to this (for those who donated). I'm sorry for the inconvenience

Here's a general suggestion: place an X button next to any annoying feature you have or are planning to implement, so that we can easily remove it from the UI.
That way, it saves our time and annoyance as users and your time as developers having to answer our complaints. Thanks. |

@Jiaz:

@Jiaz: Danke für die Anleitung!
