Default Request Assistance Downloading a Video on Vimeo

Hello,

I am a new user of JDownloader and I think it is a great program. Thank you to all of the developers. I have mostly been able to download videos on Vimeo using JDownloader without any problem until today. I would like some advice as to whether I am doing something wrong or if this video can even be downloaded by your program (I understand some cannot be).

Because of the virus, many film festivals have been sharing films online with visitors instead of hosting them in crowded theaters. For example, the DC Film Fest is offering several films for viewers to watch for free that are changed weekly. The list of movies can be found at **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

When you click on the blue link to view the featured film, it takes you to a Vimeo link at **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** For the entire week that this film is hosted on Vimeo it is free for anyone in the USA to watch as many times as they wish.

I have tried to use JDownloader to download the main movie featured this week but without success. When I cut and paste the Vimeo link above, nothing happens. When I go to the LinkGrabber tab and paste the Vimeo link to analyze and add links, nothing happens - nothing is added to the list for downloading.

Am I doing something wrong or is this video not available to download using JDownloader? I'm sorry if this is a foolish question to ask but I am just now starting to use this program and am learning the basics. I have the most recently updated version of JDownloader 2 and my computer runs on Windows 10 and Java SE Runtime Environment 1.8.0_162 (32 bit). I use McAfee for anti-virus and firewall protection.

Please let me know if I need to submit any further info to this forum in order to solve this question. Thank you for your assistance.

Al

Hi,

that type of URL is not supported so far.
Here is a quick workaround:
change your type of URL e.g.:
Code:
vimeo.com/ondemand/blabla/123456789
... to this:
Code:
vimeo.com/123456789
This should work fine for free available content.

We'll check how/when we can support that other type directly.

I have a similar problem. I can't seem to download this video: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
because JD simply isn't recognizing that there is one (nothing happens in JD when you enter the link)
