Exclamation If File Already Exists

Hi
I am facing a problem in new JD 2 is that its feature of above mentioned title is not working properly, Here's what i tested it:

Links Added in JD about 20 videos.
Downloading started:
10 videos finished, then suddenly our home electricity got some problem and every thing went off, after getting on i started it and see there's no status of downloaded vidoes or half of downloaded video, but 10 files were there, and 11th about 30% downloaded part.
I started downloading again and surprised to see that JD started downloading those files again..i then checked settings..
I selected "Ask for each File"
IT DIDN'T WORKED!!
Then i selected Skip File/Link
IT ALSO DIDN'T WORKED!!:outch:
then selected the 2nd option i stoped downloading and then started downloading immediately and see that it skkiped the file and then started downloading the 2nd file where as the file already exists in the download folder, ok then to make sure i stoped it and then started it again it happened same it skipped the file and started downloading 3rd file as i told you that 10 files already exists in the download folder. It should skip every existed file and continue to download the last effected file where it stoped after this crash/electricity problem i faced.
KINDLY SOLVE THIS PROBLEM!
THANKS.....

Please stop SHPUTING, this is a BETA!
Also, a log may helps us solving this problem.
Is it reproducable?

this is known issue in current beta. after a restart the linkstatus is unknown and you have to recheck the linkstatus before downloading (rightclick , check online status) so the "file already exists" check works again.

I'm working on this issue

I did the same and it works some time some not, but i can understand its beta. One thing more is that if the file is already downloaded then it will start downloading it again then when the file completes the second time download then it will ask you "file already exist" the dialog box appears after the second download where it should ask before starting the download by checking if the file already exists or not.
And one thing more i can't find sort by size, sort by name exists.
thanks for the feedback.

Default mirror files get overwritten

hi

been having this problem for a long time now

when i download stuff from different hosters the downloader downloads the same files even if i configure it in the options to skip the link.

eg:

uploaded: file.part1.rar
rapidshare: file.part1.rar

rapidshare and uploaded download the file. and even when one file is finished the downloader doesn't notice that it already exists and downloads it again but doesn't delete the file which already is finished.

is this a known bug? or is this even a bug?

Default Fehlerhafte Mirror erkennung?

Default Duplicated downloading for files with mirror links

It happens a few times already.

JD2 does not check any existing downloading files (those with .part in the end) or downloaded files locally before start downloading.

When I set to allow 2 simultaneous download, it just starts 2 files with identical local file paths.
When I set to allow 1 simultaneous download, it will download files with identical local file paths one by one.

It will start download anyway, and only check that after both or all mirrors are finished.

Default Double file?

If the file exists (and not only the specified size at the time of download)
and when the setting is "skip file"
This saves files "double"
file.jpg + file.jpg.part
Is that supposed to be properly/correctly?

Unhappy retrieve an advanced discharge

me the following happens:

normally I'm downloading from the network share the work, apparently the internet is failing ... downloads then begin to slow down until they are cut, but I have several servers with the same file, the file jumps JD2 was unloading, he left unfinished and start downloading from another server ... marking the file you already have, say for example, 50% and starts again downloaded the same file with the same name, but on another server, say shockshare this 50% cut, and jumps to say cyberlocker.ch , starting from 0% and marks the file I shockshare to legend the file already exists, leaving it impossible to continue with the file that was already 50% ...

I encountered this bug very often in the last time. It occurs directly after adding the download links or after restarting JDownloader.
I am downloading over different proxie servers which I configured in the connection manager.

Figure: One File (part35.rar) is downloaded by two hosters over different proxies

BTW: The Connection Manager is a great improvement, even if only 20 downloads parallel are allowed

Default a really annoying bug

I was downloading 2 sets of around 20GB of rar files and then suddenly after it had extracted the second set, it begins downloading random files in the background despite it not being in the downloads page (it said 2 downloads running at the bottom and was downloading at my full speed).

So I looked to see what it was... it was the first set of rar files which has ALREADY been downloaded. So what did it do? Well it had already deleted the files and it only had 4 parts or so downloaded, so it OVERWROTE my WORKING extracted file and now has left me with me having to download it again.

I have no idea how to do the logs anymore on this new jd2, create a log is only available 2 hours ago when I need it for around 01:22AM on 30th, only has 10:01PM - 11:52pm on 29th currently nearest to time currently. But i'll stick it on anyway.

29.03.13 22.01.55to29.03.13 23.52.52 jdlog://1364606974053/

Please fix!

Edit: Ahar! I was too quick for it and renamed the folder, but still... it shouldn't be initiating downloads I didn't tell it to do. It continued downloading a file I clearly disabled for a while too, a .rev.

Edit2: It managed to do it to the 2nd file I wanted instead... GAAAH!!!

Edit3: Redownloaded it, tried to do it again so I stopped it by closing jdownloader. Screenshot:

I am downloading from netload via real-debrid if that is of any use.

This has disadvantages.
For example, image files (without checking the size, the program set to "skip" REPLACE file, which downloads all again..
If you update the files it can have a negative impact.
If the file has been downloaded previously and re-download the file (when you download a file is deleted from the server or offline - loss of file)

And if so:
pspzockerscene - Check the name of the file without checking the size? Possible?

If not - I'll have to save it as a "rename" - safer

Default Duplicate files are already downloading

it keeps happening to me ... I think it must be something with the plugins ... depending on the server ... This time I did not give force downloads ... only continue ...

I have a couple of premiums running .... unrestrict.li is multihoster, 1fichier.com that accepts ssl, free-way.me which is also multihoster ... and others are free registered ...

as you can see in my images ... JD2 is downloading the same file as 6 times ... and there is only one file ... is working unnecessarily ... however there are a couple of servers that if you skip the existing file ...

error log would give them, but I have noticed that the JD2 and do not want to generate it after being connected all night ... not passing ... but ... wait until the ticket is finished ...

I leave some images ...

forum talking in Spanish, told me Lram32 possibly only happens with servers when they have premium ( http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=48057 ) ...

as I said, the error log gives me error, but can generate one, I hope they serve ...
07.05.13 09.29.30to06.05.13 08.35.14 jdlog://1367945141775/

greetings ...

basically, what I need is that the JD2 stop indiscriminately start downloads, I think that only happens to me when I have premium, although I can not say for sure, as only some servers "jump" started downloads ...

maybe if you add some sort of discriminator command, in which, if a download is stopped for whatever reason, when JD2 try to download the same file, "locate and select" download server with advanced more ...

I remember in the JD1, there was an option that said that they had begun downloads preference and could not start a new download to finish no pending downloads ....

greetings ...

The downloading of dupes is a known issue.

This is caused by you closing jdownloader and all the online status gets cleared! To prevent dupes in jd2 at this point in time, on restart, ONLINE CHECK ALL LINKS that need to be downloaded/resumed.
