Whenever I see the Updater Button icon blinking, when I'm ready, I'll do a Restart in order to fetch the updates. But, after a conversation with another user, I thought I would try clicking the button to install updates. Well, when I clicked the button (it was blinking before I did that), it brought up a GUI with a Cylon eye indicating that it was working on the updates. But, then the GUI just closed and nothing else happened.
Doing a restart installed the updates. Am I misunderstanding what that button is supposed to do? |

Think this is correct, but I haven't extensively tested it.
flashing button indicates updates are either pending to be downloaded or downloaded pending on install (Depending on your user setting). When flashing and clicking the update button will either
When not flashing and clicking the update button will either
if you don't click the flashing update button, on next close of application (Either close or restart) it will install updates, without asking you (by default), or asks you based on user setting via dialog. note: - core updates require restart of client to install. - user settings can prevent updates - user settings can change update behaviour (as indicated above). - lack of dialogs may be influenced by remember settings from previous use. raztoki

OK, thanks. Then it is doing what it is supposed to. I want to do the updates myself, i.e., not have the program auto download and install.
