Whenever I see the Updater Button icon blinking, when I'm ready, I'll do a Restart in order to fetch the updates. But, after a conversation with another user, I thought I would try clicking the button to install updates. Well, when I clicked the button (it was blinking before I did that), it brought up a GUI with a Cylon eye indicating that it was working on the updates. But, then the GUI just closed and nothing else happened.

Doing a restart installed the updates.

Am I misunderstanding what that button is supposed to do?
