is there any other way to skip or overwrite or rename files that already exist?
having the same filename but different file size - go RENAME having the same filename and same file size - go SKIP I can only find that settings **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** my problem is that the entire download queue with many different folders stops downloading if there is any decision to make... (it also occurs when only having some tumblr folders...) |

according to "more *if file exists* options"
if there is some decision to make, the complete rest of the download queue stops downloading... there is no reason why not to continue with the rest of files or folders... the problem is that many users leave their desktop computer alone while using JD for downloading... |

It blocks because the decision also can have influences to other downloads.
Thats why you can set a specific *if file exists* option and not set *ask* ![]()

on the one hand - yes of course, but in that case we have the same problem again that I was talking about in my first post...
there is nothing about that: having the same filename but different file size - go RENAME having the same filename and same file size - go SKIP and on the other hand, different folders also STOP with downloading... that has notjing to do with the rest... i.e. completely new folders with new folder names do also STOP. |

The ticket is about your additional *file exists* methods
![]() Yes, I agree that other folders also stop. This could be optimized, but that would require a huge change, because at the moment all internal stuff is handled within a queue to avoid any threading/order in time issues.
