I get a "Cannot contact reCAPTCHA. Check your connection and try again." error on all hosts but recaptcha works just fine on the sites directly. I am using Chrome v59.

You have to install the MyJDownloader Browser Extension in order to solve RecaptchaV2

Sorry, the issue has been caused by something else (timing issue)
The error dialog will no longer show up after next core update of JDownloader
