Please forgive me for asking but I've searched the forums and have not found the answer. I'd like to set up jdownloader to only download Youtube audio from the link grabber and put them in the default download directory. Also, it would be great if it could automatically start the download when a link is added to the queue.

Can someone guide me on how to do this or where to find the information on doing this?

Go to Settings->Plugins->search for youtube and scroll down to just select the variants you are interested in. Only enabled variants will be added to list.
You can use Settings->Packagizer to customize autostart and autoconfirm.

Thanks for this. Still not clear on how to accomplish this. Do I just remove the 'Variant Name Pattern Video' entries and leave the audio as is?

For each enabled variant collection, JDownloader will grab a link. So for audio only, just select best audio

This is great. One last thing, is there a way to get rid of the directories it makes? I'd like all the downloaded audio to be in the same directory instead of in separate directories. Thanks again.

Please know that changes in that setting only affects new added links. Existing links are untouched

Thanks again. Is it possible to have multiple users for jdownloader? I'm asking this so that if two people wanted to use it they could each have their own default download directory.

*EDIT* Also, tried the packagizer rule :

This seems to work for sourceurls like youtube.com but is not working for youtu.be ... I would think it would pattern match the you portion and proceed. I've saved and restarted.

JDownloader is designed as a single user to install application. So guess that would be a no.

refrain from using source as if it hits decrypters source could be of a different url, use downloadurl contains youtube

you can use pattern matching as well. simply specify the pattern and don't forget to enable the regex checkbox on the right side

but once again use download url even with pattern matching, vs source!
